Mrs. Clarke’s two sections of 9th
grade civics have just completed
work on a project on Perry. One
group .with Horace Evans as chair.
• man, chose “A View of Perry” as
their theme while the other, with
Sam Nunn as chairman, used the
subject, “Perry in the Spotlight.”
The classes collected information
and illustrated pictures of Perry,
1 past and present .along the lines
of churches, Industries, sports edu
cation, city services, library, city
government, farming and the like.
The projects were judged with “A
View of Perry” winning.
District Meet
Several more members of the
1953 literary team have been
chosen in the past week. In the
Third District Meet Elsie Peavy
will represent Perry in Home Eco
nomics, Marilyn Stewart in short
hand, Betty Nunn in reading, and
Mary Kathryn Duggan and David
| Ogletree in girl’s and boy’s essays.
