rights and powers now or herein
after applicable under sections 22-
1827 and 22 1828, Georgia Code
annotated, and all other rights
and powers given by law.

The maxinjum number of shares
of stock shall.be 10,000 of-the par

Speaks to Kiwanis
E. F. Cornelius, manager of the ■
Macon Office of the Social Securi- j
ty Administration, told the Perry
Kiwanis Club Tuesday that 700
Houston countians are drawing So-1
cial Security benefits amounting to 1
more than $200,000 a year.
In the Middle Georgia section
covered by the Macon office, he |
said, 18,000 persons are receiving
benefits totaling $9 million a year.
In the United States, 70 million
persons are contributing to the So- j
cial Security Fund, with 9 out of
10 jobs covered by the program.
Mr. Cornelius was introduced by

ing at the Vocational Agriculture
building. The subject for discus
sion will be on land and titles and
related information.

will lead the discussion and dis
cuss questions relating to the far
mers land title problems.

Akikta Club Meets
The Akikta Club met with Mrs.
Charles Shelton on January 7.
Mrs. Horace Langston was co-hos
tess.
The meeting was opened by the
president and Mrs. Langston gave
the devotional.
The speaker for the afternoon,
Dr. Leonard Bell, was introduced
by Mrs. Herbert Moore. Dr. Bell
gave a most interesting talk on two
civic improvement projects which
our community could and should
carry out. They are co-ordinated
school rooms and eye tests for pre
school children. This could pre
vent many visual problems and the
large percentage of non-readers
now found in our schools,
