PETITION FOR CHARTER
State of Georgia
County of Houston
To the Superior Court of Hous
ton County:
The petition of J. H Rosenberg,
Dr. Jay Goldstein, and Owen Mc-
Kneely, each of whose post office
address is Warner Robins, Georgia,
respectfully shows to the court;
1.
Petitioners desire for them
selves, others to be associated with
them and their successors, to be
incorporated and made a body cor
porate, for a period of thirty-five
<35) years, under the corporate
name and style of ‘MEDICAL
CENTER. INC."
2.
The object of said incorporation
is pecuniary gain to the corpora
tion and to its stockholders.
3.
The principal office of said cor
poration will be located in the City
of Warner Robins, Houston Coun
ty, Georgia, but petitioners desire
the right to establish other places
of business elsewhere whenever
the Board of Directors of said cor
poration determine that same is
advisable.

The business to be carried on by
said corporation is as follows:
(a) The buying, holding, selling
and generally dealing in real es
tate, real estate mortgages, and
notes secured by real estate.
(b) The general building con
struction business, including the
building of residences, apartment
houses, office buildings, and busi
ness buildings.
(c) The owning, renting and
leasing of dwellings apartment
houses, office buildings and busi
ness buildings.

The capital stock of said corpor
ation shall be Three Thousand Dol
lars . . . represented by thirty
shares of capital stock of the par
value of One Hundred Dollars
< $100.00) each; and petitioners
pray that they be granted the right
to increase such capital stock from
time to time by a vote of the ma
jority of the stockholders of the
corporation to an amount not to
exceed FIFTY THOUSAND DOL
LARS (*50.000.00).
6.
The amount of capita! with
which the corporation shall com
mence to do business is . . . Three
Thousand Dollars, all of which has
been fullv paid in.
7.
Petitioners present to the court
herewith a certificate from the
Secretary of the State of the State
of Georgia, under the seal of his
office, in manner and form as re
quired by law, certifying and de
claring that the name of the pro
posed corporation is not the name
of any other corporation now re
gistered in the office of the Secre
tary of State of the State of Geor
gia.

corded in Plat Book 5, page 141,

The said security deed was giv
en initially to secure a promissory
note of even date therewith which
l was in the amount of 510,000.00
which was due and payable ninety
j f9O i days from the date thereof
with interest due at the rate of
8 per cent per annum after matur- j
! ity and additional loans have been
made pursuant to an open-end
mortgage clause contained in the
aforementioned deed to secure
debt; and said subsequent notes
being issued are now in default
and the Citizens State Bank has de
clared all sums due and payable
thereunder. Attorney s fees in the
amount of 15 per cent have also
accrued pursuant to the provisions
of Code Section 20-506 of the laws
of the State of Georgia.
WHEREAS, the aforementioned
notes have become in default as
to principal, interest and accrual
of Attorney’s fees, and the under
signed elects that the entire
amounts of the notes, principal, in
terest and Attorney’s fees, have
become due and pavable at once.
NOW THEREFORE, according
to the original terms of said se
curity deed, and the laws in such
cases made and provided, the un
dersigned will expose for sale to
the highest and best bidder for
cash the above described property,
after proper advertisement, on the
first Tuesday in April, 1959, said
date being the 7th day of April,
1959. between the legal hours of
sale before the courthouse door of
Houston County, Georgia. The pro
ceeds from said sale will be used
and applied as provided in said
deed to secure debt and under
terms of law.

ment of a loan secured by a Deed
i to Secure Debt, executed by Willie
Jones to Mrs. J. L. Beavers, dated
9 April 1958, and recorded in
Clerk’s Office, Houston Superior
Court, in Deed Book 122, pages
38-39, the undersigned has de
clared the full unpaid amount of
the indebtedness referred to, due
and payable, and acting under the
power of sale contained in said
instrument, for the purpose of pay
ing said indebtedness, will on the
first Tuesday in April 1959, during
the legal hours of sale at the
Courthouse in said County, sell at
public outcry to the highest bid
der for cash, the lands described
in said instrument, to-wit;
All that tract or parcel of land
lying and being in Houston Coun
ty, Georgia, and in the City of Per
ry, more fully described as front
ing 50 feet west on the paved
highway leading from Perry to
Fort Valley, and extending back
in an easterly direction with uni
form width, for a distance of 200
feet. Said land is bounded now, or
formerly, on the north by land of
Janie Davis, south by land of Rosa
Gorman, east by land of Forrest
Whitfield, and by land of W. C.
Yates, and on the west by the
paved highway leading from Perry
to Fort Valley, now designated as
U. S. Highway Number 341. Said
described land is a part of the
lands of the W. W. Yates, deceas
ed, Estate, and is the same pro
perty as that conveyed from W. C.
Yates to Willie Jones by deed da
ted 30 April 1949, same recorded
in Deed Book 67, page 284, Clerk s
Office, Houston Superior Court.

Ingathering Held
By Girl Scouts
Five troops of Perry Girl Scouts
presented program and staged dis
plays of the work they have done
this year at the annual Ingather
ing ceremonies at the Junior High
School auditorium last Saturday
afternoon.
Mrs. Forest Purdom presided at
the ceremonies, attended by a
large number of parents and
friends of the Girl Scouts.
Taking part on the program
were the following: Second grade
Brownie Troop 143. presenting the
Brownie Promise and the Smile
Song. The leaders are Mrs. Earl
Marshall, Mrs. W. A. White, Mrs.
Louie Davis, Mrs. Bob Wright and
Mrs. Bobby Horton.
Third grade Brownie Troop 262,
who presented Scout singing
games. The leaders are Mrs. Don
Dayton, Mrs. C. J. Harmes, Mrs.
I. W. NeSmith, Miss Sandy Brooks
and Mrs. Isaac Davis.
Fourth grade Brownie Troop 16,
who acted out the Girl Scout Laws.
The leaders are Mrs Purdom, Mrs.
James Duggan, Mrs. J. D. Swinney,
Mrs. Jack Crutchfield.
The Intermediate Troop 4 pre
sented a folk dance. The leaders
are Mrs. J. W. Hafley, Mrs. Wil
liam Russ and Mrs, Norton Powell.
Intermediate Troop 86 present
ed American square dancing. The
leaders are Miss Elva Willingham
and Miss Joan Molleur.
Representatives from each troop
brought their contributions for the
Juliette Low World Friendship
Fund, a memorial to the founder
of the Girl Scouts to foster friend
ship among the young people of
all countries. Each Scout meas
ured the length of her arm and
contributed a penny for each inch.
Contributions were placed in a
world globe on the stage by a re
presentative of each troop.

A bulletin board contest promo
ting safety was sponsored by the
Perry PTA in the three local
schools last week.
The first four grades prepared
bulletin boards on Safety in the
Home. The two rooms which won
a party were Mrs. Walker’s First
grade and Miss Gunter s room.
Winners in the Junior High
building, where Safety Out of
Doors was the emphasis, were
Mrs. Bledsoe’s sixth grade room
I and Mrs. Weaver's eighth grade
room.
High school winners were Mrs.
Harrison’s room and Mr. Holland s
room. Their bulletin boards por
trayed Safety on the Highways.
Each of the students in these
; rooms received a drug store treat
from the PTA.
