Conducts Meeting
The New Perry Home Demon
stration Club met Monday evening,
March 23, at the home of Mrs.
Hubert Stefanini with 12 present.
Mrs. Clifford Bragg presided
and brought an inspiring devotion
al. Members answered roll call by
giving a household hint. Next
month is the Dress Revue and all
members were urged to make a
dress to model at the meeting.
Projects chairmen gave several
reports.
It was announced that a tour of
Robins Air Force Base, sponsored
by the Home Demonstration Coun
cil, is planned for April 23.
Mrs. Alma Beckham gave help
ful instructions on making facings,
binding and hems and the proper
accessories for costumes to aid
those entering the Dress Revue.
During the social hour the hos
tess served delicious refreshments.
VIRUS RESEARCH
SUPPORTED
To discover if some types of
cancer in man arc virus-caused,
the American Cancer Society is
supporting virus research with
grants of about $1,600,000. If it is
established that viruses cause hu
man cancer, a preventive vaccine
might be found. Contribute to the
1959 Crusade to support more can
