Fort Valley are sponsoring a flow
er show at the Fort Valley Armory
on April 29 between the hours of
2 and 9 p. m.
Horticultural specimens and
flower arrangements from other
towns are welcomed. They must
be placed in the Amory by 11 a. m.

of the program for the April meet
ing of the Perry Business Wo
men’s Club which was held last

She presented Misses Jean Con
nell, Sandy Brooks, Helen Head
and Faye Sanders, v/ho gave a re
i peat performance of the talent
they used as contestants for the
; Miss Perry Beauty Pageant. Miss
Beverly Jacobs accompanied them
at the piano and also entertained
| alone. A business discussion fol
lowed the program.

and Mrs. Johnny Satterfield, and
23 members were present.

tournament in Eastman on April

MRS. LANTIE B. MERRITT
Funeral services for Mrs. Lantie
Bowden Merritt, 86, who died at
her residence in Portsmouth, Va.,
were held Friday at Christ Sancti
fied Holiness Church near Perry.
Rev. Horace Curry and Rev. Ru
fus Curry officiated. Burial was in
the church cemetery.
