SALE OF LAND
Georgia. Houston County
WHEREAS, heretofore on Jan
uary 15, 1957, Homer J. Walker,;
Jr. did execute to the Citizens
State Bank in Warner Robins,
Georgia a certain security deed on
the following property to-wit:
All that tract or parcel of land |
lying and being in Land Lot No. •
174 in the Fifth Land District of
Houston County, Georgia, describ
ed as follows;
Beginning at the northeasterly
corner of Land Lot No. 174 in said
Fifth Land District of Houston
County, Georgia, and thence run
ning in a westerly direction along
the northerly land line of said land
lot to the northwesterly corner
thereof and thence running in a
southerly direction along the wes
terly land lot line of said Land
Lot No. 174 for a distance of 993.7
feet and thence running in an eas
terly direction a distance of 2918.8
feet to the easterly lot line of said
land lot and to a point 980.2 feet
southerly of the northeasterly cor
ner of said land lot and thence i
running in a northerly direction j
along the easterly line of said land
lot for a distance of 980.2 feet to
point of beginning.
Excluded from the above des
cription are the following parcels
of land which were not included in
the original security deed or
which have been conveyed and
quit-claimed by the Citizens State
Bank, to-wit:
1. That parcel of property loca
ted in the northwesterly corner of
land lot 174 containing 2.91 acres
deeded to Carolina Life Insurance
Company on June 29, 1955.
2. That 25.13 acre tract located

Parcel C; said parcels being fully
shown on plat of survey prepared
by Theodore W. Waddle dated Oc
tober 28, 1958 which has been
recorded in Plat Book 5, page
141, Clerk’s Office, Houston Super
ior Court
The said security deed was giv
en initially to secure a promissory
note of even date therewith which
was in the amount of $10,000.00
which was due and payable ninety
(90) days from the date thereof
with interest due at the rate of
1 8 per cent per annum after ma
turity and additional loans have
been made pursuant to an open
end mortgage clause contained in
(he aforementioned deed to secure
debt; and said subsequent notes
being issued are now in default
and the Citizens State Bank has
declared all sums due and payable
thereunder. Attorney’s fees in the
amount of 15 per cent have also
accrued pursuant to the provisions
of Code Section 20-506 of the laws
of the State of Georgia.
WHEREAS, the aforementioned
notes have become in default as
to principal, interest and accrual
of Attorney's fees, and the under
signed elects that the entire

' mony, the bride’s mother enter
’ tained with a reception at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Lind
sey. Assisting were Miss Bettye
; Lou Hightower, Corine Edwards,
Carol Lindsey and Mrs. Mary Bur
ton.
Out-of-town guests including the
bride and groom’s parents were,
Capt. and Mrs. W. A. Strother and
son, Travis AFB, Calif., Mr. and
Mrs. James McLemore and chil
dren, Corpus Christi, Texas, Mr.
amounts of the notes, principal,
interest and Attorney’s fees, have
become due and payable at once.
NOW THEREFORE, according
to the original terms of said se
curity deed, and the laws in such
cases made and provided, the un
) dersigned will expose for sale to
the highest and best bidder for
cash the above described proper
ly, after proper advertisement, on
the first Tuesday in May, 1959,
said date being the sth day of
May, 1959, between the legal hours
of sale before the courthouse door
of Houston County, Georgia. The
proceeds from said sale will be
used and applied as provided in
said deed to secure debt and un
der terms of law.

He entered the Army last Oc- :
tober and completed basic train- 1
ing at Fort Jackson, S. C.
Hancock attended Perry High
School and was a farmer before
entering the Army.
Joe Griffin has returned to
Great Lakes Training Center after
spending two weeks with his par
ents, Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Griffin.
He has been assigned to the
U. S. Naval Hospital Corps School
at Great Lakes for sixteen weeks.
Upon graduation, he will be trans
ferred to a U. S. Naval Hospital
for further training.
He spent the weekend with his
sister, Miss Jean Griffin, in Chica
go. She is chief technician in the
pathology department of the St.
Francis Hospital.
S/Sgt. Eddie Hammock who has
been visiting relatives in Perry,
Macon and Kathleen for the past
few weeks left by plane Tuesday
afternoon for Japan where he will
be stationed for the next three
years.
Mrs. Hammock and their daugh
ter, Debbie, will join him there
later.
