May Williams of Perry and John
Tyree Bondurant of Lexington,
Ky. The wedding will take place
Sunday, July 17, at 4 o’clock in
the afternoon at the Perry Metho
dist Church with the Rev. Thom
as C. Fornash of Lexington offi
ciating.
Miss Williams will be given in
marriage by her uncle, John L.
Hodges. Her attendants will be
her sister, Mrs. Louis A. Rose of
Lexington, Ky. and Mrs. Earl La
cey of Warner Robins.
Mr. Boudurant will have as his
best man, his brother, Mr. David
Bondurant of Lexington, Ky. Ush
ers will be the grooms uncle,
John D. Tyree of Martins Ferry,
Ohio, Louis A. Rose of Lexington,
Kentucky, and Earl Lacey of War
ner Robins.
The nuptial music will be ren
dered by Mrs, Hoke Smith, organ
ist, and Francis Nunn, vocalist.
Guests will include members of
the families of the bridal couple
and a few close personal friends.
Following the ceremony, the
bride’s mother, Mrs. Walter Rus
sell Williams, will entertain the
bridal party and guests at a re
ception in the social hall of the
church.
The groom’s parents, Dr. and
Mrs. John H. Bondurant of Lex
ington, Ky. will give the rehearsal
party Saturday evening preceding
the wedding. This affair will be a
buffet supper at the New Perry
Hotel.
Mr. and Mrs. John L. Hodges
will entertain the bridal party and
out-of-town guests at a luncheon
on the wedding day.
Jan Cadden is attending 4-H
camp in Savannah this week.

MANY PARTIES GIVEN HERE HONORING
MISS RALEIGH MCCROSKEY, BRIDE-ELECT
Mrs. David P. Hulbert and Mrs.
Frank M. Holland entertained
with a linen shower last Wednes
day morning at the home of Mrs.
Hulbert in honor of Miss Raleigh
McCroskey, bride-elect.
A pink and white color motif
was carried throughout the decor
ations and the refreshments which
were served from the dining table
centered with a beautiful arrange
ment of pink gladioli and asters.
The gifts were cleverly present
ed in a basket to the bonoree.
Twenty-five friends enjoyed this
morning affair.
On Wednesday, Mrs. Martin Sil
cox entertained for Miss McCros
key with an informal luncheon in
the garden room of the New Perry
Hotel.
A salad course was served and
a lovely gift was presented to the
honoree.
Other guests were Mrs. Allen
Tabor and Miss Laurie Anderson.
Miss McCroskey was entertained
with a luncheon in the Camellia
room of the New Perry Hotel on
Thursday by several members of
the Perry elementary school facul
ty of which Miss McCroskey has
been a member for several terms.
The honoree was presented a
unique gift by the hostesses, who
were Miss Frances Couey, Mrs.
Marjorie Suber, Mrs. Gladwyn
Barfield, Mrs. Ruth Walton and
Mrs. Elma Browning.
Miss McCroskey was honored
with a tea and kitchen shower
last Thursday afternoon by Mrs.
Floyd Tabor, Mrs. Otis Gunn and
Mrs. Allen Tabor at the Floyd Ta
bor home.
The guests assembled in the den
and dining area where the tea
table, overlaid with a persimmon
toned linen cloth edged with a
wide white fringe, was centered
with a tiered white floral arrange
ment.
The gifts were opened and dis
played on tables overlaid in white
in the living room.
Receiving the guests with the
hostesses and honoree were Mrs.
Thomas McCroskey and Mrs. Tom
mie Hunt. Punch was served by
Miss Pat McCroskey from a silver
bowl in which strawberries were
floating.
Serving were Misses Abbie Sue
Hunt, Susannah McCroskey, Ann
Hunt, Julie Tabor, Missie McCros
key and Beth Tabor.
Assisting in serving were Mrs.
Lewis Tabor and Mrs. Wordna
Gray.
Sixty-five guests called during
the afternoon.
The Clifford Graham home was
the scene of a Coca Cola party on
Friday morning. The honoree was
Miss McCroskey, who was pre
sented a beautiful gift.
Cokes and dainty refreshments
were served by the hostesses, Mrs.
Graham, Mrs. Charles Andrew and
Mrs. John Houser.
Mrs. Jack Miller Sr., Mrs. Ro
bert L. Roper and Mrs. Jack Mil
ler Jr. entertained at a luncheon
Saturday in the garden room of
the New Perry Hotel honoring
Miss McCroskey.
The color scheme of yellow and
white prevailed in the decorations,
place cards and the salad course
served.
The honoree was presented a
lovely gift by the hostesses. Other
guests were Mrs. Tommie Hunt,
Mrs. Tom McCroskey, Misses Su
sannah, Pat and Missie McCroskey.
Dr. and Mrs. Logan Irvin of
Chapel Hill, North Carolina are
spending several days this week
with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Glover
and daughter, Bett.
