The May 1961 issue of the maga
zine, Young and Beautiful, salutes
the Coeds of the University of
Georgia.
In a group picture of Miss Pan
dora and her court is Martha
Evans of Perry.
A picture of the famous arch en
trance introduces the salute to the
campus sweethearts of the 175-
year-old university. To describe
the coeds the magazine states that
demanding standards of good taste
in deportment, appearance, and
manners result in poise, self-con
fidence, and savoire-flaire at the
University of Georgia.
Miss Evans plans to teach high
school English after graduation.
For her bachelor’s degree in edu
cation, she is spending this quar
ter in Atlanta, doing practice tea
ching at Grady High School.
John Adams, second president of
the United States, once volunteer
ed to fight with the U. S. Marines
during a sea engagement in 1778.
In March 1933, Navy medical
officers and corpsmen look an ac
tive part in the relief work follow

petitioners, respectfully shows:
1.
Petitioners desire for themselves,
i their associates and successors to
■ be incorporated under the name of
“PAULK AUTO PARTS, INC.”.
2.
The object of said corporation is
1 pecuniary gain and profit.
3.
The general nature of the busi
ness or businesses to be transacted
is as follows:
1. To own, lease, control, deal
in, sell and operate a general au
tomobile parts business, which
shall include the purchase and sale
of both new, used and recondi
tioned automobile, truck, tractor,
and motorcycle parts of every
kind, character and description, ac
cessories, tires, hardware, paints
and painting supplies, and any and
all appliances and fixtures incident
to the operation of an automobile
parts business.
2. To engage in the retail and
wholesale sale of electric and gaso
line engines both new and recon
ditioned, or other forms of power
now known or which may hereaf
ter be discovered which shall be
used in connection with automo
biles, trucks, tractors, motorcycles,
and like vehicles of travel.
3. To acquire, and to ccjuip, and
operate, a general machine shop
and foundry to be used in connec
tion with the business of generally
dealing in and with automobile
parts, motors and accessories.
4.
Petitioners further desire that
said corporation be vested with all
the rights and powers now or here
after given to do any and all things
which may be needful or proper
in the operation of the above de
scribed business, and that said cor
poration have all of the powers
enumerated in Sections 22-1827
and 22-1828, Georgia Code Annota
ted, and such powers as may here
after be given by law.
5.
The maximum number of shares
of stock shall be Five Hundred
(500) of the par value of One Hun
dred Dollars ($100.00) per share,
all of which shall be common
stock. The amount of capital stock
with which the corporation shall
begin business shall be not less
than One Thousand Dollars (sl,-
000.00), The corporation shall be
authorized to issue additional
shares up to the maximum sum
above stated, and thereafter, from
time to time, but within the limi
tations set forth in Section 22-
1854, Georgia Code Annotated, to
reduce the amount of capital out
standing.
6.
The time for which the corpor
ation is to have existence is 35
years, with the privilege of re
newal of the charter, from time to
time, upon the expiration of said
periods of thirty-five (35) years.
7.
The County in which the princi
pal office of the corporation is to
be located is Houston County,
Georgia, but the privilege is de
sired of establishing branch offices
and places of business both within
and without the State of Georgia.
3.
Petitioners further desire that
by-laws of the corporation shall be
adopted by the common stock hold
ers, and such by-laws shall pro
vide for the officers of the cor
poration, the manner of their se
lection, and such other rules ap
propriate to by-laws which have
as their purpose the control and
management of the corporation,
including provisions whereby the
by-laws may be amended.
9.
Your petitioners herewith exhi
bit a certificate of the Secretary
of the State of Georgia as required
by Section 22-1803, Georgia Code
Annotated.
10.
The corporation shall have the
power, generally and without any
limitation or restriction whatso
ever, to hold, purchase, own, deal
in, mortgage or convey real es
tate and personal property in this
State and in any other State or
Country.
WHEREFORE, petitioners pray
to bo incorporated under the
name and style aforesaid with all
the rights, powers, privileges, and
immunities herein set forth, and
such additional rights, powers and
privileges as may be necessary,
proper or incident to the conduct
of the business aforesaid, and as
may be inherent in or allowed to
like corporations under the laws of
the State of Georgia as they now
exist or may hereafter exist.

corporate charter under the name

Mr. and Mrs. Russell C. Fellows
are new residents of the city of
Perry.
Mr. Fellows, who has been in
the grocery business many years
in Macon, has been named assis
tant manager of Woodruff’s Super
Market on Houston Lake Drive.
While living in Macon Mr. and
Mrs. Fellows were active members
of the Baptist Tabernacle, Mrs.

Tabernacle Choir.
