Austins Are Hosts
To Catholic Groups
Mrs. Martin Austin entertained
[ with a coffee at her lovely new
) home on Main Street on Wednes
day morning with thirty-five la
dies from Warner Robins as
■ guests.
Receiving were Mrs. Mary Dem
bowski and Mrs. Dan Callahan of
■ Warner Robins.
Beautiful fall colors were used
. in the decorations throughout the
home. In the recreation room the
buffet table, overlaid with white
. lace over yellow, was centered
with a bronze bowl holding yellow
and bronze chrysanthemums. An
arrangement of white chrysanthe
mums, yellow mums and greenery
was the focal point in the family
room.
A luncheon at the New Perry
Hotel was attended by 140 ladies
of the Columbus Deanery of Ca
tholic Women. During the after
noon a refreshment party was held
at the Austin home. A hundred
members of the Deanery were
honorees with the special guest
being His Excellency, the most
reverend Bishop Thomas McDon
ough of Savannah. The guests were
served in the spacious rooms and
in the garden around the flowing
fountain. Beds of blooming agera
tum, mums, salvia and daisies ad
ded beauty to the alfresco setting.
Wednesday evening Mr. and
Mrs. Austin were hosts at a buf
fet supper at home honoring a
group of ladies from Augusta.
Assisting in serving were the
ladies of the Perry Altar Society.
