ins Memorial Post 6605, Inc., Vet
erans of Foreign Wars of the Uni
ted States.”
3. The said corporation is to
have no capital stock and is not
organized for pecuniary gain but
its purposes are social, fraternal,
patriotic, historical and education
al; to preserve and strengthen
comradeship among its members;
to assist worthy comrades; to per
petuate the memory and history of

Laws; to foster true patriotism; to
maintain and extend the institu
tions of American freedom; and
to preserve and defend the United
States from all her enemies,
whomsoever.
4. The location principal
office of said corporation will be
at Feagin Mill Road, Warner Rob
ins, said State and County.
5. The active and voting mem
bership of this corporation shall
at all times be confined to the
active members in good standing
in the Warner Robins Memorial
Post 6605, Veterans of Foreign
Wars of the United States.
6. Petitioners desire the right to
transact such business as may be
necessary to the proper mainte
nance and successful conduct of
its affairs and desire the usual cor
porate power granted to corpor
ations of the State of Georgia pur
suant to Title Number 22, Chap
ter 1801, et sec. of the Code of
the State of Georgia and desire
existence for thirty-five (35) years
with privilege of renewal as is
provided by law.
7. This corporation being a sub
ordinate unit of the Veterans of
Foreign Wars shall at all times
remain under the jurisdiction of
and be governed according to the
constitution and by-laws of the
Veterans of Foreign Wars of the

8. In the event of a dissolution
of this corporation all of its as
sets shall be the property of the
Warner Robins Memorial Post
6605, Veterans of Foreign Wars
of the United States, and in the
event of the simultaneous disso
lution of this corporation and for
feiture of the charter issued by the
Veterans of Foreign Wars of the
United States to said subordinate
unit, then, and in that event, title
to all of the assets of this corpor
ation shall be in the Veterans of
Foreign Wars of the United States
to be disposed of in accordance
with the National by-laws. Rules
and Regulations of the said Veter
ans of Foreign Wars of the Uni
ted States. At no time shall the
assets of this corporation be dis
tributed or divided among the in
dividual members.
9. Petitioners present herewith
a certificate from the Secretary
of State of the effect that the
name of the proposed corporation
is not the name of any existing
corporation registered in the re
cords of the Secretary of State.
Wherefore Petitioners pray that
they be incorporated under the
name and style as herein set out
wiht all the rights, privileges, pow
ers, and immunities as are per
mitted by law.

been read and considered, and it
appearing that same is within the
purview and intention of the laws
applicable thereto, and that all
said laws have been fully com
plied with, including the presen
tation of a certificate from the
Secretary of State as required by
Section 22-1803 of the Code of
Georgia Annotated, and it appear
ing that said petitioners seek the
formation of a corporation to be
known as Warner Robins Memor
ial Post 6605, Incorporated, with
no capital, for the purpose of so
cial, fraternal, patriotic, historical,
and educational beneits which
shall be for charitable purposes
and not for individual pecuniary
gain;
It is ordered and decreed that
said application is granted, and
the above-named petitioners, their
associates and successors, are
hereby incorporated under the
name of Warner Robins Memorial
Post 6605, Incorporated, for and
during the period of thirty-five
(35) years with the privilege of [
renewal at the expiration of said
time in accordance with the laws
of this state;
And said corporators, their as
sociates and successors, are here
by clothed with all the rights, pri
vileges, and powers mentioned in
said petition, and with all those
given to like corporations under
the laws of Georgia.

with former Mayor Stanley Smith
making the presentation.

nated $5,000 to Perry Club Coun
cil for the Recreational Park, ac
tively supported Houston County
Association for Exceptional Chil
dren with visits and donations of
S6O yearly; gave sls toward send
ing Mayor Milton Beckham to the
University of Georgia for a study
course in Community Planning
; and Zoning, sent gifts to patients
at State hospital,
Successfully canvassed residen
tial areas for the Heart Fund
Drive, made periodic visits to
meetings of the City Council in
order to keep members better in
formed of city government, mem
bers responded to the Red Cross
Blood Drive, sent two representa
tives to each quarterly meeting of
Perry Club Council, provided a
total of 15 workers at the Club
Council Barbecue last April, six
workers for the Little League All-
Star game and donated cakes
which were given as prizes during
each inning of the game.

Perry FFA Boy Exhibits Best Boar
In Pig Chain Show Held in Macon

Thermon Hatton of the Perry
FFA Chapter exhibited the grand
champion boar of the FFA Pig
Chain show held in Central City
Park, Macon Saturday under spon
sorship of Sears, Roebuck and
Company.
The grand champion gilt was
shown by the Dexter High School
FFA Chapter; Dexter won the top
chapter award for the fourth con
secutive year with Perry second
and Social Circle third.
Showmanship awards went to
Thermon Hatton of Perry and to
Crawford County and Dexter High.
Chapter exhibitors wore given $25
for first place, S2O for second, sls
for third, $lO for fourth, and $5
for fifth. Prizes of $25 were pre
sented for the grand champion gilt
and boar and sls for the reserve
champions.
Thermon Hatton won a total of
SSO for Perry. Judges of this show
were C. D. Brannen and C. 0.
Parker.
Georgia has 17,589 FFA mem
bers in 47 schools, and there are
2,074 pigs in 228 chapters.
PERRY FFA’ers TO EXHIBIT
AT FAIR
Fifteen members of the Perry
FFA Chapter will show livestock
at the state fair October 16-21 in
Macon. The following boys will
exhibit swine: Thermon Hatton,
Raymond Money, Louis Pearce,
Iverson Golden, Perry Hammock,
Wayne Ryner, Larry Barrett, Carl
Williamson, and Sonny Livingston.
Other boys showing cattle are Jim
my Dorsett, Seabie Talton, Lee
Rush, Larry Johnson, Chuck
White and Andy Talton. These
boys will exhibit in the various
shows such as the open show, the
breeders’ show, and the FFA
shows.
STRING BAND TO PLAY
AT RALLY
The string band will leave Satur
day, October 21 for the state FFA
rally to be held in Macon. The
string band will leave along with
the members of the chapter who
plan to attend. Members of the
string band are Wayne Stewart,
Charles Harrison and Bobby Ra
gan.
PARLIAMENTARY
DEMONSTRATIONS
The Perry FFA held its monthly
meeting October 10 at the Perry
J Agricultural Building. The meet
ing was opened with the regular
opening ceremony, Chuck White
presiding. Gene Gill gave the de
j votion.
Plans were made pertaining to
the dale of the Green Hand De
gree initiation and the sweetheart
contest. The initiation will be held
Thursday night, October 24, and
| the sweetheart contest was held
Monday night, October 16 at the
Junior High Auditorium.
This meeting was dedicated to
praliamentary procedure. The
eighth grade officers gave a de
monstration on the opening cere
mony. Other demonstrations of
correct parliamentary procedure
on nominations and motions were
given by the chapter.

first honor roll for the following
year. To qualify the boys grade
must be a minimum of seven
points; an A counts 3 points, B-2,
C-l, but an F automatically dis
qualifies a boy. The following boys

derson, Wright McCarty, Jerry
Johnson, Henry Watson, Eddie
Wall, Harry Johnson, Jack Smith,
Bobby Goodman, Carl Ross, Andy
Talton, Floyd Tabor, Jimmy Dor
sett, Hugh Hill, Harvey NeSmith,
Richard Tucker, and Earl Cheek.
Hugh Hill was the high boy with
a score of 14 points.
