OF JAMES E. MASON IN CHURCH CEREMONY <

The marriage of Miss Emily
Alice Terry, daughter of Mrs.
Charlie L. Terry and the late Mr.
Terry, and James Edward Mason,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Rastus Mason
of Unadilla, was solemnized at 8
o’clock Saturday evening at the
Perry Methodist Church. The cere
mony was performed by the Rev.
William Key.
Nuptial music was rendered by
Mrs. Norine Jones, organist, and
Mrs. Eunice Stanton of Langdale,
Ala. was soloist.
The groom chose his brother,
Wynne Mason, as his best man and
ushers were James Beeland and
Mac Offenberg of Perry.
Serving as maid of honor was
Miss Patricia Ragan of Henderson,
who wore a street length dress of
blue satin with matching hair band
and carried a bouquet of yellow
chrysanthemums.

The bride was given in marriage ]
by her uncle, Mr. Milton Edwards
of Macon. She wore a white Chan
tilly lace and satin street length (
gown and a strand of pearls, a (
gift from the groom. A crystal and ,
pearl crown held her bouffant il
lusion veil and she carried a bou
quet of daisies. ]
Following the ceremony the j
bride’s mother entertained with a .
reception at her home on Ever- j
green Street. Serving were Miss ]
Micki Helm, Miss Sandra Watson,
Miss Brenda Renteria and Miss
Ellen Terry, sister of the bride. ,
Keeping the bride’s book was Miss ,
Susan Sikes, cousin of the bride.
After a wedding trip through
Florida the couple will make their
home at Jacksonville, Fla.

Obie King honored Miss Terry
with a miscellaneous shower at the
home of Mrs. Beeland.
Summer flowers wore used in
the decorations throughout the
home.
After several games were enjoy
ed the honoree was presented with
a laundry basket of many useful
gifts.
Thirty friends attended and en
joyed a delicious salad plate serv
ed by the hostesses.
Miss Terry was honored in Cor- |
dele on August 13 with a dinner
at the Holiday Inn Restaurant giv
en by her aunt and uncle, Mr. and
Mrs. Gordon Patterson. (
Ten friends joined Miss Terry
and the hosts for the occasion.
On Thursday evening, August
27, Miss Terry was the inspiration
for a miscellaneous shower given
by Miss Judy Gray, Mrs. A G.
Hendrick, Mrs. Gardner Watson
and Mrs. Wordna Gray at the
home of Mrs. Gray on Swift Street.
The yellow and white color
scheme was carried out in the de
corations and refreshments.
Each of the guests wrote a tele
gram of advice and good wishes
to the honoree who read them
aloud. The gifts were presented in
a white wicker basket adorned
with white satin ribbons. The hos
tesses presented Miss Terry with
a floor lamp.
A delicious ice course was serv
ed by the hostesses.
Miss Crawford McGinnis and
Tommy Sandefur of Atlanta spent
the weekend with his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. T. E. Sandefur.

Lonice Barret returned Monday
from Atlanta where he has been
employed for the summer and will
leave next Monday for Georgia
Southern College.
