Ricky Thompson and Gene Grinstead are attending the 9th Annual Natural
Resource Conservation Workshop at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in
Tifton, Georgia this week, according to an announcement made by Drew Bynum,
District Conservationist, Soil Conservation Service, Perry. Their scholarship is
being sponsored by The Bank of Perry and The First National Bank of Perry, in
corporation with the Ocmulgee District. The workshop is conducted annually by
the Georgia Chapter of the Soil Conservation Society of America and the Georgia
Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts. Ricky is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. V. H. Thompson of Houston County. Gene is the son of Mr, and Mrs. D. J.
Grinstead of Houston County.
