The party’s over,
but your security light
stays on till dawn.
The last guest left at the stroke of midnight. Now it’s
time to rest after an evening of fun.
Sleep comes easily when you know a bright guard
is still on duty outdoors.
A mercury-vapor security lamp, controlled by a
photoelectric cell, automatically bathes your home, farm,
business or industry in a protective pool of electric light.
From dusk to dawn.
You can have a 7,000-lumen lamp for $4.09 a
month. Other fixtures are available at slightly higher
rates. The price includes installation on existing pole,
maintenance and electricity used.
For details on the dusk-to-dawn lighting service, call
Georgia Power, or mail the coupon.

Reactions To New Robins
Resident Center Revealed
Reaction by base personnel to
the University System Board of
Regents announcement of the
Robins Resident Center was
“immediate and positive,” ac

The regents last week an
nounced the creation of a four
year, on-base, college degree
granting program offering the
associate’s and bachelor’s de
grees in business administra

Reaction began shortly after
the base newspaper, the Robins
Rev-Up, broke the news last
Thursday. “Not all calls were
from potential students,” laugh
ed Roads, “one of them which
came to my home in Perry was
someone seeking employment.”
Bulk of the reaction hit edu
cation personnel in the face as
they opened the door Monday
morning after a television in
terview with Dr. Jack Carlton
probed into the potentials of
the program.
The most frequent question
asked, they said, “Is it for
real?” Answer: “Yes.”
Secondly, the question is ask
ed concerns off-base require
ments for attendance. Answer:
“Not required,”
Thirdly, inquirers want to
know who is eligible. Answer;

several other sister companies will spend approximately
a week in the woods of Ft. Stewart engaged in Xo r '°us

(June 14-28); the men represent 46 Georgia communities.

Company B assumed their de

after instructions from their

center.
“When will it open?” Ans

The permanent director will be
named in August. The center
will be considered officially
opened on Aug. 1. First course
offerings will be in September,
with approximately 15 separate
courses available to enrollees.
“Are there any surcharges
beyond the course prices list
ed?” Answer: Course costs are
given earlier, SSO per five-hour
course in the lower division for
Georgia residents, S9O for non
residents; S6O per five-hour
course for residents in the up
per-division for a five-hour
course, slls for non residents.
Ihe nominal increase in course
costs over campus costs is
more than offset by the fact
that there will be no student
activity fee.
What is the delineation be
tween resident and non-resi
dent.' 1 Answer: Military must
meet legal residency require
ments. Civilians must have
lived in the state for more than
one-year, or certify through
their supervisor that their pur
pose in coming to Georgia was
to seek gainful employment in
stead of an education.
“Will my credits be accept

there is no simple yes or no

There they wail for the
“charge” of their sister com

their ability to repulse their
“enemy” in this simulated bat

Company B will be quartered
in the field until the end of
the first week of annual train

the main post to fulfill their
two week obligation with 6,000
