Cub Scout Olympics Held By Perry Scouts Saturday Neither wind nor rain kept the boys in Cub Scout Pack 216 from completing their Cub Scout Olymphics Satur day afternoon on the Tucker School play ground. Art Cliff, chairman of Pack sum mer activities, and Bobby Brooks, co-chairman of this event, directed the compe tion in five areas with first second and third place a wards in each age group. Winners were as follows — Baseball Throw: 8 year olds, Randy Odell, first, Darryl Parker, second, Boyd Brooks, DEATHS Moore William J. Moore, retired Army Sergeant and resident of Jacksonville, Florida, died Saturday in the Jacksonville Naval Hospital after a long illness. Sgt. Moore was the brother of Mrs. John F. Ho lec of Perry. Sgt. Moore is survived by his wife, six children, moth er and father, and three other sisters and one bro ther. Burial services with full military honors were held Monday afternoon at the Cat Creek Cemetery near YaH dosta for Sgt. Moore. Walker Charlie Mathis Walker, age ' 86, passed away June 27 aft er a lengthy illness. He was a native of Houston County and resided here all of his life. He was a retired far mer. Funeral services were held at 3 p. m. Sunday at the graveside, Evergreen Cemetery in Perry, with Eld er George R. Hunt officiat ing. He is survived by a num ber of nieces and nephews. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry had charge of ar rangements. Goldstein Mrs. Mayme Goldstein of Macon passed away at the age of 88 after a lengthy ill ness. She was a native of Goldsboro, N. C. Funeral services were held at 10 a. m. Monday at the graveside at William Wolfe Cemetery. Macon. Survivors include one son, Dr. Jay Goldstein, who was the first doctor in Warner Robins, and who now re sides in Baltimore, Mary land; one daughter, Mrs. Rosalie Newberry of Char lotte, N. C.; one sister, Mrs. Freda Avery of Goldsboro, N. C.; two grandchildren, Miss Jane Goldstein of Mia mi. Fla., and Joe Goldstein, Baltimore, Md. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
