Exchange Wedding Vows
The Rev. Mark Gutzke of
Jacksonville, Fla., formerly
of Perry, officiated at the
wedding of Miss Brenda Sue
Bryan of Warner Robins and
Harvey Joe Moody, Jr. held
at 4 p.m. June 17, 1972 at the
Perry Presbyterian Church.
Baskets of gladioli and
pompoms decorated the
altar accented with can
delabra filled with lighted
tapers. Pots of palms were
placed on either side of the
altar. Mrs. Bert Brumbaugh
of Perry, organist and Mrs.
W. H. Callaway, Jr. of
Macon, provided the wed
ding music.
The groom, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Harvey Joe Moody, Sr.
of Perry, chose his father as
b<*st man. Ushers were
Larry W. Moody of
Kingsport, Tenn. and >
Louis Moody of Perry,
brothers of the groom. Ray
Carlisle, Jr. of Memphis,
Tenn cousin of the groom,
was junior usher.
Miss Susan Moody, sister
of the groom, was the bride’s
maid of honor. Bridesmaid
was Miss Shelia Braud of
Warner Robins. Miss Ann
Boyst of Warner Robins was
junior bridesmaid. They
were dressed alike in floor
length baby blue dotted
swiss gov.: s with high waist
and long puffed sleeves and
white lace at the waist. Their
headpieces were short veils
of blue illusion trimmed with
white lace. They carried
nosegays of white and blue
carnations.
The bride, given in
marriage by Charlton
Alexander of Warner
Robins wore a gown
that she fashioned of white
satin with an overdress of
white lace with long, puffed
lace sleeves and an empire
waist. Her veil of illusion
was trimmed with tiny blue
lace and bows of blue ribbon
and attached to a headband
of white ribbon trimmed
with white seed pearls.
Mrs. Moody chose for her
son’s wedding a dress of pink
lace with matching ac
cessories and a corsage of
white carnations.
A reception followed the
ceremony in the fellowship
ball of the church given by
friends of the bride and
groom. Mrs. Olin Moody
greeted the guests and
Presented them to the
receiving line. Mrs. Louis
Moody presided at the guest
registry.
The bride’s table, covered
with satin overlaid with net,
held the four tiered wedding
cake topped with a miniature
bride and groom. Mrs.
Verlon Bell cut and served
the cake.
Miss Sherry Waites, Mrs.
Jerry Goodroe, Mrs. Larry
Moody served punch from
the silver bowl at a table
decorated with silver can
delabra and covered with a
satin ruffled cover.
Assisting in entertaining
and serving were Mrs.
George Costlow, Mrs. Worth
Bryant, Mrs. David Larimer
and Miss Jenny Bryant.
When the couple left for a
wedding trip to point* of
interest in Florida, the bride
was wearing a blue knit suit
trimmed with white and a
white butterfly orchid. The
couple will make their home
in Warner Robins.

Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Joe
Moody, Sr. entertained for
their son and his fiance at a
rehersal dinner at the
Presbyterian Youth Center
following the rehersal at the
church. Members of the
wedding party and out of
town guests enjoyed the
delightful affair. Miss Bryan
presented gifts of jewelry to
her attendants.
A series of parties were
given for Miss Bryan prior to
her marriage. The first was
a linen and lingerie shower
given by Miss Sherry Waites,
Miss Linda Hussell and Mrs.
W. L. Waites on May 11. The
hostesses gift was a starter
set of tupperware.
Mr. and Mrs Malcolm
Reese and their son, Joe
Reese were host for dinner
and a kitchen shower for the
couple on June 1 at their
home on Baker Street. An
engraved sterling silver
cake knife was presented to
the couple.
A miscellaneous shower
was an event of June 2
honoring the bride-ek jt
given by Mrs. George
Costlow. Mrs Costlow
presented a place setting of
her silver pattern to the

Announce Engagement
Mr. and Mrs. William H.
Draughon announce the
engagement and for
thcoming marriage of their
daughter, Miss Wanda
Louise Draughon, to Lt.
William Mark Zvanut, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph M.
Zvanut, Sr,, of Pearland,
Texas.
The bride-elect's mother is
the former 1 ouise Head of
Perry, Georgia, and her
father is formerly of Vienna,
Georgia.
The ceremony is planned
to take place on Saturday,
August 12, at 7:30 in the
evening at the Brainerd
Presbyterian Church in
Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The future bride is the
granddaughter of Mr. and
Mrs. W. W. Head of Perry,
Georgia, and the late Mr.
and Mrs. Roy Draughon of
Vienna, Georgia.
Miss Draughon is a
graduate of Brainerd High
School in Chattanooga. She
recently received a BS
degree in psychology from
Middle Tennessee State

Miss Hall Becomes Bride Os
Mr. Meadows In June Wedding
Miss Shelia Renee Hall
and Martin Daniel Meadows
were uniteu in marriage on
June 18, 1972 at the
University where she was
elected to Who’s Who Among
Students in American
Universities and Colleges,
Alpha Tau Omega Little
Sister, and ROTC Spoasor
officer. She was a member of
Delta Zeta Sorority, and
Gamma Beta Phi honorary
society.
Lt. Zvanut is the grandson
of Mrs. James Erwin and the
late Mr. Mark Gang, Sr. of
Chattanooga, Tennessee,
and the late Mr. and Mrs.
Frank Zvanut, Sr., of St.
Louis, Missouri.
He is a graduate of
Chattanooga High School. He
recently received a BS
degree in theatre from
Middle Tennessee State
University where he was
past vice-president of Alpha
Tau Omega fraternity,
chairman of a co-curriculum
committee and a student in
the advance Army ROTC
program.
He has been commissioned
into the Army as a Second
Lieutenant in Air Defense
Artillery.
Evergreen Baptist Church in
Warner Robins. Rev.
Charles Matthews and the
groom’s uncle, the Rev. G.
M. Meadows of Manchester,
performed the double ring
ceremony at three o’clock in
the afternoon.
The bride is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. George
Martin Hall of Warner
Robins and the groom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. James C.
E. Meadows of Perry.
Emerald trees formed the
background for the wedding
setting with rched and spir
al candelabra filled with
lighted tapers placed at
intervals. A basket of white
flowers was placed in the
baptismal window. Frank
Stewart rendered ap
propriate selections at the
organ and accompanied
Miss Patsy Doss as she sang.
Mr. Meadows was his son’s
best man and ushers were
Van Williamson of Macon,
Jimmy Thompson and Bert
Bozeman of Perry, Dwayne
Powell of Centerville,
Johnny NeSmith of
Douglasville, Warren
Williams, Jr. of Atlanta and
Meadows of Tucker,
cousin of the groom.
Mrs. A. Malone, Jr. of
Dexter was her sister’s
matron of honor and the
maid of honor was Miss
Mabelle Parish of Warner
Robins. The bridesmaids
were Miss Susan Davis of
Warner Robins and Miss
Marcia Meadows of Perry,
sister of the groom. Miss
Sheryl Hall of Warner
Robins, sister of the bride
and Miss Julie Meadows of
Decatur, cousin of the
groom, were junior
bridesmaids.
The honor attendants and
bridesmaids wore A-line
candy pink chiffon floor
length gowns featuring the
high Chinese effect collar,
empire waist accented by a
satin band and flowing skirt.
They wore matching petal
headpiece. Each carried a
nosegay of shaded pink
carnations.
Little Lisa Malone of
Dexter, niece of the bride,
was flower girl. She was
dressed in a soft pink, A-line
dress with high neckline and
empire waist, accented by a
satin band and a flowing
skirt. She carried a minature
basket of hot pink carnations
and light pink sweetheart
roses. Bob Snellgrove of
Warner Robins was
ringbearer.
Tlu bride, given in
marriage by her father, was
lovely in her A-line floor
length sata-peau bridal
gown. It was fashioned with
a high neckline, long lull
Bishop sleeves and empire
waist. The gown was ac
cented by front panel of
Venice lace and seed pearls.
A detachable chapel train
was attached at the
waistline. She wore a
matching face forward petal
lace and satin veil featuring
the bouffant French silk
illusion. She carried a
bouquet of pink sweetheart
roses and pixie carnations
centered with a white orchid.
For her daughter’s wed
ding, Mrs. Hall chose to wear
a pale pink dress with
matching accessories. Her
corsage was of white or
chids.
The bride’s paternal
grandmother, Mrs. George
H. Hall of West Palm Beach,
Fla. wore a pale Hue dress
and white accessories and a
corsage of white carnations.
Mrs. Meadows, the
groom’s mother, was attired
in a light blue silk shantung
dress with matching ac
cessories and a white orchid
corsage. The groom’s
maternal grandmother, Mrs.
Peter Jakubowski of Green
Bay, Wis., was dressed in a
mint green crepe dress, navy
accessories and a white
carnation corsage.
Mr. and Mrs. Hall en
tertained at a reception in
the fellowship hall of the
church, following the
ceremony. The bride’s table,
overlaid with pleated white
satin under white lace, held
the four tiered wedding cake
embossed with white orchids
and pink sweetheart roses.
Pink punch flowed from the
fountain punchbowl.
Miss Carol Hansard,
cousin of the bride, kept the
guest registry. Others
assisting at the reception
were Miss Linda Rogers;
Miss Faye Goodrum; Mrs.
Jimmy Holland, Mrs. Ira
Warnock, Mrs. Don Hobbs,
cousins of the bride; and
Mrs. Billy Cooper.
When the couple left for a
wedding trip to the Bahama
Islands, Mrs. Meadows was
wearing a powder blue, bell
skirted dress accented at the
waistline with white em
broidered flowers, white

accessories and the orchid
from her bouquet. Mr. and
Mrs. Meadows are at home
at 1355 Briarwood Apart
ment 75, N.E. Atlanta.
Mr. and Mrs. Meadows
entertained at a dinner
following the rehersal at the
church at the Twentieth
Century Restaurant in
Warner Robins. Thirty five
places were marked for the
wedding party and out of
town guests.
A series of parties were
given honoring Miss Hall
prior to her wedding day by
friends in Centerville,
Warner Robins and Perry.
One of these was a lasagne
party at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Donald Colder on
Tucker Road in Perry.
Sixteen friends of the couple
were invited for the evening.
