DURABLE ATHLETES
Dr. Ivan Osiier competed
in Olympic fencing for a
total of forty years from

UNASSISTED SPEED
There are often references
to bicycle speeds of
seventy-six miles in an
hour or a top speed of one
hundred and twenty seven
miles an hour, but it
should be kept in mind
that these were with a
windbreaker of automobile
or motorcyle. The fastest
unpaced speed for a
bicycle is only a fraction
over thirty miles an hour
for a sixty minute period.
