Watson to Harold J. Jen nings of Perry, Georgia. She is also the daughter of Mr. Paul E. Carter of Hun tington, West Virginia. The bride-elect attended Perry High School and is employed at Robins AFB. Her fiance is the son of Mrs. H. J. Jennings and the late Mr. H. J. Jennings of Sylvester formerly of Pelham. Attending the Macon Little Theater production of “Camelot” last Wednesday evening were Mrs. Helen Mason, Mrs. Thomas Mason, Mrs. Tim Malloy, Mrs. Cohen Walker, Mrs. F.M. Greene and Mrs. Houser Gilbert. Mr. and Mrs. Linward Carroll and family spent several days last week at Myrtle Beach, S.C. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Sizemore and Lynn camped at High Falls State Park and Jekyll Island last week. Mrs. H. A. Blackburn of Williston, Fla. is visiting friends in Perry this week. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Luoma camped at High Falls State Park during the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Phelps visited Mrs. Ruby Johnson several days last week at Rutledge. Mrs. Wilson Moody will attend the summer con ference for the Georgia Pre- School Association on the University of Georgia campus, Athens on Wed nesday and Thursday. Jl .-.r --h m 2 V w a Mr. and Mrs. Morris Thames Thames Honored On 50th Wedding Anniversary The children of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Thames of Henderson, Ga. honored their parents on the occasion of their golden wedding anniversary with a tea given at the couples’ home on July 9th, 1972. Mr. and Mrs. Thames were married July 9, 1922 in Fort Valley by Justice of the Peace Bur nan. Mrs. Thames is the former Eva Pearl Arnold of Ft. Valley and is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joe Arnold. Mr. Thames is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harman Thames of Ft. Valley. They have nine children living; Bill, Jim , Ted, and Doug Thames all of Hen derson, Mrs. Jack Shugart of Perry, Mrs. Stan Broom of Warner Robins, Mrs. Frank • . Tolbert, Mrs. Marshall Gregory and Mrs. Gene Glance all of Macon; 23 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Mrs. Thames chose for this wonderful day a lovely teal blue knit dress adorned with two rhinestone buttons and a beautiful pink orchid cor sage given to her by her children. Mr. Thames wore a handsome navy blue suit with a lovely light blue shirt and stripped tie. A white carnation rested in his lapel. The anniversary table was covered with a white satin son, Craig of Atlanta and Mr.and Mrs. Austin Taylor have returned from a two week vacation at St. Augustine, Fla. Guests in the home ot Mr. and Mrs. Bill Milby this week are Mr. Milby s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesst B. Milby, Sr. of Pennsauken, N.J. Mr. and Mrs. Chris Brown of Atlanta spent the weekend cloth trimmed with gold ribbon and gold, yellow and green flowers and white candles. A lovely three tiered cake trimmed in gold and green flowers, white swans, and a miniture couple adorned the table. The punch table covered with white lace over white satin held two gold can delabrum with gold, green and yellow flowers. A beautiful silver punch bowl on a silver tray surrounded with the same kind of flowers centered the table. Other silver trays held petite fours trimmed in green and gold, nuts, mints, cheese straws and other tid bits. Dr. and Mrs. Fason, missionaries to India, spoke at the morning wor ship services and Sunday School hour at the Perry United Methodist Church, Sunday. Dr. and Mrs. Kenneth Whipple and family of Atlanta were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Whipple. Mr. and Mrs. Pete Hunt of Ft.
