ABILITY
Careful Planning has provided new school construction to keep pace with
the rapid growth of the county -- 12 schools, 392 classrooms, school ad
ditions, athletic facilities, science labs, libraries, and lunchrooms during
the past 12 years. A vocational school is under construction.
Responsible And Sound Line-Item Budgeting has resulted in buying “the
most for the dollar” for the county. Os the more than $16,000,000 spent in
the building program, only $1,400,000 came from the Houston County
taxpayer. The remainder was secured from state and federal funds.
Progressive Administrative Planning has provided a coordinated
program of study for children at all grade levels in all of the schools in the
county.

retarded, gifted, multi-handicapped, and speech and language impaired
