BY ROSE COOK
Perry Band Boosters held
their September meeting one
week earlier than is usual so
plans could be made lor the
lirst home lootball game.
President Bob Reese presided
at the meeting which had a
very small attendance. Mr.
Reese mentioned that there
are about 400 students in
bands which are serviced by
Band Boosters and that
perhaps their parents were
unaware that the club is lor
them.
It was decided that an in
tensive membership cam
paign would be launched at
once and would culminate on
October 22 at the regular
Booster Club meeting. Maybe
the parents are not award that
Boosters Club is not just lor
parents ol members ol the

The major source ot income
lor lhe Booster Club is the
concession stand at the home
lootball games and this year
we are not having but lour
home games so our income
will be less. The money we
earn is used to pay lor all the
music which any band student
uses plus any other needs they
may have such as minor
repairs on instruments and
bus rentals lor their trips, If
lhe Boosters are unable to
meet these expenses, the
parents will have to pay them
or let their child drop band.
This is why we want to urge all
parents lo become active in
the club.
Alter discussing the
methods to be used in our
membership campaign, we
were given a report on the
prices that we must now pay
lor loods to be used in the
concession stand and it was
decided that some of the
prices would have to be raised
in order to meet the higher
expenses.
Fair will be the Book Fair,
This is a new and added
dimension to the projects of
other years. Donations of
books and magazines to the
Church will be appreciated,
(.'all l tie Church office, 987-4213
or 987-1453, and someone will
be happy to pick up your books
and magazines.
