/n an announcement made last week by officers of Blue Bird Body Company
in Fort Valley, William G. Milby has been promoted to Staff Engineer in
charge of Engineering Services. Milby and his wife, Mary Beth, live at 1307
Cater Circle in Perry.
Milby is originally from Camden, New Jersey. He graduated from
LeTourneau College in Longview, Texas, with his Mechanical Engineering
degree. He has also done graduate engineering study at the University of
Michigan and has graduated from the Chrysler Institute of Engineering in
Detroit. He has been with Blue Bird since May, 1971.
His new responsibilities include all state and federal school bus
specifications, and development testing of all Blue Bird products.

Ben H. Newberry, Jr., of Perry, has been promoted to Assistant Chief
Engineer in charge of Chassis Design at Blue Bird Body Company in Fort
Valley.
Newberry and his wife, Mildred, and sons. Pep and Keith, live in Holly Hills
in Perry. He is the son of Mrs. B.H. Newberry, Sr. of Henderson. He is a 1950
graduate of Perry High School. Newberry began work at Blue Bird in June,
1951, as a co-op student and after finishing Georgia Tech in December, 1955, he
came to Blue Bird full time.
In his new responsibility, he will have full charge of all engineering work
related to Blue Bird’s All American chassis.

all parts of the hospital. He says the meetings are
“very loose and informal, by design". The em- •:■
ployees are encouraged to voice any complaints
or make any suggestions to “help render better
patient care".

putting out fires, removing ;j;
persons from a burning
building, and how to ad
minister first aid treatments. *
The demonstration is £
planned to augment the
campaign already underway
in the county to obtain im
proved medical services and
improved fire protection
facilities throughout the :j:
county.

attend this demonstration,” •:
Chief Lawhorn states. “We •:
know you will be impressed to j:
see what trained persons can j;
do under disastrous con- j:
ditions. You will also see what :•
we can accomplish in the way j;
of preparedness in the event of :•
an emergency and disaster.” :•
Excellent first aid booklets
will be given to the parents at
this demonstration. ;j
The Ferry Woman's Club ••
will again serve juicy hot
dogs, lemonade, coffee and •:
homemade candies, cookies
and goodies. This is an ex
cellent educational evening j
for the entire family. We want :•
the public to be informed :•
