Circuit Riding Preachers Andy Hornbaker (L) and Bob Parrish (R) ride up
to Hctyneville Baptist Church Wednesday night of last week. The two ministers
are dressed in authentic 18th century attire, and Rev. Hornbaker is carrying a
flint-lock musket. In days gone by, rural churches had no regular minister,
and \were served by the “C.R.P.’S” who rode from church to church
preaching.

/n Fire Prevention Week demonstrations held Tuesday night of last week
Perry firemen Henry Arnold (C) and Paul King (R) assist an “ overcome”
fireman Larry Bennett. In actuality Bennett was just acting to dramatize the
rescue. But firemen can suffer from smoke inhalation.
Paul King and Henry Arnold combat a “house fire” in last week’s Fire
Demonstration activities. The Perry Fire Department observed the National
Fire Prevention week with demonstrations in Perry and also in other parts of
the county.
