Kennedy-Waddell Wed
In Baton Rou , La,
Mr. and Mrs. Mike Waddell
were married October 12 at
7:30 o’clock in the evening at
Jefferson Baptist Church in
Baton Rouge, Louisiana with
the Reverend Tommie French
officiating.
Mrs. Waddell, the former
Dawn Kennedy, is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Kennedy of Baton
Rouge. The groom’s parents
are Mrs, Larry Murphy of
Perry and Mr. Jack M.
Waddell of California.
Mrs. Charles Willem was
the organist.
The double ring ceremony
was performed before an alter
decorated with large palms.
The bride, given in
marriage by her father, wore
q gown of white candlelight
satin styled with a scooped
neckline outlined with sequins
and seed pearls. The bodice
Aas of chantilly lace, and the
sleeves came to points over
the hands. A crown of lace
embellished with sequins and
pearls held in place her veil of
imported illusion. The gown
was worn previously by both
sisters in their wedding. She
carried a nosegay of daisies,
white carnations, English ivy
and baby’s breath.
Mrs. Hatsie Kinsley of
Perry, sister of the bride,
served as matron of honor.
Mrs. Linda Phillips served as
her sister’s bridesmaid. Their
dresses were of lime green
crepe knit with scoop
necklines, empire waists, and
street-length A-line skirts
accented with tiny white
picked flowers. They carried
sprays of daisies, English ivy
and baby’s breath,

The Ford-Moye family
reunion was held Sunday in
Norman Park. Those at
tending included Mr. and Mrs.
L.F. Moye, Mr. and Mrs. Roy
Hannon and Kenneth, Mr. and
Mrs. Leroy Moye, Sandra and
Patricia, Wayne Smith, Leroy
Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Joe
Moye, and Mr. Edd Barker all
of Norman Park; Mr, and
Mrs. Roscoe Moye, Mr. and
Mrs. Roye Butler, Mr. and
Mrs. Grady Moye, Pam,
Misty, David, and Shirley
Moye, and Mr. Andrew Ford

large bouquet of yellow and
bronze mums held a three
tiered wedding cake.
Climaxing the reception was a
champagne toast.
The bride attended Perry
High School and is presently a
senior at Tara High, in Baton
Rouge. The groom attended
Perry High School and is
presently employed by Allied
Chemical of Baton Rouge.
The couple will make their
home in Baton Rouge,
Louisiana.

weekend to be with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom
Huff and help celebrate her
lather’s birthday. Sherry and
Mr. and Mrs. Huff spent the
weekend camping in
Alabama. Hope your birth
day was a happy day, Mr.
Huff!
Chuck Henson and Ronnie
Fowler celebrated their birth
days Thursday with many of
their friends and relatives
joining them in all the fun at
Mr, and Mrs. Marvin Fowler’s
home.

Forehand and Matthew en
joyed a bird supper Saturday
night at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Jerry Howard, Lori and
Mike of Grove Park.
Saturday night the Grovania
Community Club will sponsor
their annual Halloween
Carnival with supper serving
beginning at 7:00 P.M. Fun
and games will begin at 8:00
P.M. including a cake walk,
cake auction, horror house,
fishing pond, country store to
mention a few. Everyone is
invited to come and join all the
spooks!
Another birthday was
celebrated' at the Marvin
Fowler home last week, W.C.
celebrated his tenth birthday
Saturday with a cook-out with
many friends and relatives.
The Georgia State Fair
began Monday in Macon and
Marty, Ida, and Rhonda
Woodard enjoyed all the fun
and excitement.
Mr. and Mrs. Johnny
Singletary and girls visited at
home over the weekend from
their new home in Moultrie
with Theresa’s parents, Mr.
and Mrs, Elmer Hutto and her
sister and her husband, Mr.
and Mrs. Mickey Yansom.

great grandmother, Mrs. L.H.

Saturday, October 19,
several Clinchfield ladies
went on a “Spend the day at
Riches" trip, sponsored by the
Lahoma Garden Club. Those
attending were Mrs. Ruth
Taylor, Mrs. Lila McCraven,
Mrs. Harriett Huff, Mrs.
Emily Ratteree and Mrs. Jo
Mosley. Also attending were
two friends from Perry, Mrs.
Stella Hay and Mrs. Virginia
Bryant.

Remember the Pine Tree Fair at St. Patrick’s
Catholic Church Saturday, Nov. 2. The hours are
10 A.M. to 8 P.M.
The 3 L’s Home Ec Club will meet Thursday,
November 7, at the Eastgate branch of The Bank
of Perry at 10 A.M. Mrs. Charles Weikal of
Marshallville will give a demonstration on
Christmas decorations. Mrs. Thelma Wormus is
hostess for the meeting.
The Tucker PTC will hold their Halloween
Carnival Saturday, October 26. It will be held at
Tucker School from 11:00 to 3:00. A bar-b-que will
be served during that time and you may eat in or
take out.
Thursday night, October 24, the Veterans of
Foreign Wars will hold their regular monthly
meeting at 6; 30 P.M. The main topic of discussion
will be “The Future of the V.F.W. Post 6126”. All
comrades are urged to attend.

Frances Cook, daughter of

Thompson lias just completed
4 years military service in the
USAF. We hope they have a
nice visit and maybe decide to
make their home in Clin
chfield.
Mr. and Mrs, Harry
Thompson have just returned
from a two weeks vacation.
They visited their grandson
and his wife, Jerry and
Barbara Huff of Gainesville,
Florida, and their grand
daughter, Mrs, Cynthia
Nichols and her family of
HOUSTON HOME JOURNAL THURS., OCT. 24, 1974,
Belleview, Florida. They
continued their trip on to Fort
Fierce, Florida, where they
were the guests of their son
and his wife, Warren and
Dolly Thompson. While there
Mr. Thompson and Warren
went to the Virgin Islands for 4
days. On their return trip they
stopped off for a visit with
Mrs. Valarie Blackburn of
Williston, Florida. I'm sure
many friends will remember
Mrs. Blackburn as she used to
live in Perry.
