Summer days are here - and
swimming time too. Everyone is busy
dashing hither and yon with end of
school activities and summer sports.
Our Nook for the week has recipes for
busy cooks, and a request number for
a gentleman who asked for a
Macaroni Salad.
Our other recipes are for a Ham
burger-Noodle Casserole and a Prune
Coffee Cake. This coffee cake is made
with junior baby-food prunes,
delicious!
Next week we hope to have low
calorie recipes, someone has asked
for this type column. If any of you
have a good low-calorie casserole I
would like to have one.
VEGETABLE MACARONI SALAD
2 cups macaroni
2 quarts water, boiling
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garlic salt
Gradually add macaroni into

Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Then
add;
1 cup sliced celery
Vi cup green onion slices
IMi to 2 teaspoons salt
Mi teaspoon black pepper

Serve on lettuce leaves. Tomato
wedges make a nice garnish.
