At the close of the business
the president demonstrated
gift wrapping for various
occasions using unusual and
different materials. Many of
these materials are found
around the home everyday
and can be recycled for gift

discarded.
Mrs. Cathy McCulloch gave
a very interesting and in
formative program on
genealogy. She gave pointers
on how to start tracing a
family tree. She gave many
sources of research in
formation. One of the best in
this area is the Genealogical
and Historical Room of the
Washington Memorial
Library in Macon. Charts
were distributed to everyone
to use in beginning this in
teresting study.

This narrow bridge, according to a State Department survey some time ago
was safe enough not to require further work. Located on Lake Joy Road, the
span is definitely thought to be dangerous by all who travel it. The scene has
been marked with tragic deaths in the past. Seeking to avoid future tragedies,
the Houston County Commission has asked the state to take another look at the
situation. Hopefully this time the state will see fit to fund improvements on the
bridge...and the one a few yards further down Lake Joy Road.
