Perry and Fort Valley.

David Leslie Davidson,

College at Milledgeville
and is employed as a
flight attendant by Delta
Airlines.
Mr. Dorsett attended
the Georgia Institute of
Technology and received
the Batchelor of Science
degree from Valdosta

Miss Valerie Howard,
who will marry Steven
Crews on October 15 at
the Perry Presbyterian
Church, has been honored
at a series of pre-wedding
parties in recent weeks.
Miss Susan Arnall and
Miss Charlotte Hobson
were hostesses on August
23 at a Kitchen Shower at
Miss Arnall's home. Miss
Howard received many
beautiful and useful gifts
from the group of young
friends who gathered for
the occasion. The
hostesses' gift was a
crock pot.
On September 14, Mrs.
Daniel Myers and Mrs.
Willie Tyson were
hostesses at a
Miscellaneous Shower for
Miss Howard. The party
held at Mrs. Myers' home
was a delightful occasion
honoring the bride elect.
Their gift to Valerie was
a toaster.
Another Miscellaneous
Shower was given on
September 20 at the home
of Mrs. AJ. Adams on
Hillcrest Avenue.
Hostesses for this party
honoring Miss Howard
as Lieutenant Com
mander in the Naval
Reserves. Mr. Dorsett is
engaged in farming in
Houston County.
The wedding is planned
for Sunday, October 23, at
3 P.M. in the Crestview
Baptist Church located on
Highway 41 North. No
formal invitations will be
sent. All friends and
relatives are cordially

wedding and reception
immediately following in
the church fellowship
hall.

Perry Elementary
School P.T.C. will hold
their monthly meeting
Thursday, October 20, at
7:30 P.M. in the Perry
Elementary Auditorium.

County Schools Assistant

Business Affairs, will
address the group. This
program is another in a
series planned to better
acquaint the parents of
Perry Elementary School
students with the
"business" of running
our school system.
Parents of small
children are asked to
make their own baby
sitting arrangements
since there will not be a
nursery provided
Thursday night.
The September
meeting of the P T C, was
a great success. If you
have a child in Perry

The Idaka Club of
Perry held its regular
meeting on October 4,
1977, at the home of Mrs.
Carole Bloodworfh.
Hostesses for the evening
were Mrs. Bloodworth
and Mrs. Ann Windham.
Jackie Cooper spoke to
the group on En
tertainment. Cooper is
Entertainment columnist
for the Home Journal and
champions local avenues
of performing arts.
The program was
followed by a short
business meeting and
delicious refreshments.
