however, I have come to
equate political lear
nedness with wickedness.
It is my opinion that the
No-Fault law is, a farce, a
hoax, just another rip-off
imposed on the public as
is the safety test law and
the personal property tax
on automobiles.
Allow me to elucidate:
First, the No-Fault law
and the test and personal
property tax are an in
vasion of privacy, an
attack upon our security
and effects by the simple
expedient of laws
payment is made by
check? It seems to me
that a lot of tax-paper
money goes unnessarily
for all this extra postage,
to say nothing of
stationery, printing and
personnel involved in
getting notices and
receipts out.

jeopardizing that
security and property.
For example, the law
regarding personal auto
tax or ad valorem tax;
pure semantics; denies
me the right to purchase
my auto tag without
payment of the tax. This,
is taxation by extortion.
This I believe is a
violation of the 4th
amendment of the
Constitution of these
United States.
Second: the No-Fault
law; like monkeys in a
cage; makes captives of
the people for the benefit
of the insurance com
panies to gloat over and
satisfy their greed. We
the drivers are at the
mercy of the insurance
companies who without
justification can raise
premiums and cancel
policies for no apparent
reason, forcing drivers
into the Georgia assigned
risk system, at higher
cost. This has happened
to me.
Third; the No-Fault
law places legal limits on
the amount of redress an
accident victim will
receive. Oh! the law
provides that a driver
may sue, however, once
the insurance company
has offered its legal due, I
doubt that any court
would honor the lawsuit.
The companies would
surely pounce upon their
sth amendment rights.
A personal note,
Colonel Cofer, I have a
lawsuit pending with
regard to an accident
involving personal injury
prior to the inception ot
No-Fault and it still
hasn't come before the
court. I wonder why!
In conclusion I concur
with Mr. Suber's opinion
and I thank you kindly for
your response to him; it
has afforded me an op
portunity to speak out
myself.
Freedom is everyone's
right and freedom of
choice is part ot it. Let's
not allow it to sprout
wings and fly away.
Yours for Freedom

Dear Bobby:
It has been a very fine
year in public recreation
in Perry, Ga. during 1977.
Several hundred youth,
boys and girls have been
able to participate
because of outstanding
cooperation between City
Council members,
Houston County
Recreation Dept.,
Houston County school
board,local coaches Bob
Morrow, Ray Mims and
Danny Shelton, continued
fine support by the Home
Journal staff and the
youth volunteer coaches
and workers. Without
these many fine people
the local youth would
have no recreation
program.
There are team
sponsors, local Perry
businesses, without
whose generous support
many needy kids would
be unable to be a full
participant in the
program. Our special
appreciation and
gratitude, other than
those above, goes to our

The Way of Faith:
O Lord of Hosts,
blessed is the man who
trusts in thee.
(Ps. 84:12)
- ■ -'hi
Last week we ended the
message by saying that
the way- of faith is to have
one's mind and heart and
energies focus on God.
Faith focuses our worship
upon God. Many times we
find other things to
worship.
A married person may
worship his mate and put
his mate first and
foremost in all of life's
relationships.
A parent may worship
a child and give to the
child the status of an idol.
One may worship his
work and live only in
order to work. One may
worship an insignificant
goal and spend his life in
mediocrity. To worship
anything else, less than
the true and living God is
to be guilty of idolatry.
Real faith causes a
person to let God be God.
younger men to have
charge of the trust
department after the
older gentleman was
moved into his new
position. After con
sidering the merits of
each of the men, a certain
one of the four younger
men was selected for the
new position and to
receive a substantial
increase in salary. They
decided to notify him of
the promotion that as
ter noon at four o'clock.
At the noon hour, the
young man went to a
cafeteria for lunch, as he
did every day. One of the
directors was behind him
in the line with several
other customers in
between them. The
director saw the young
man select his food which
included a small pat of

The way of faith finds
its security in God. The
psalmist had been in the
temple area and had
observed the sparrows
building their nests and
raising their young.
Evidently this was a very
secure place for the
sparrows. This scene
reminded him of the
security that comes to
those who trust implicitly
in God for grace and
guidance.
Friends can aid in
bringing to one a feeling
of security. Many people
seek security through the
purchase of property or
through the building of an
insurance program.
The only real security
men can experience is in
the realm of the spiritual.
God wants to forgive our
sins and remove the guilt
that is destructive. He
wants to assure us of His
abiding presence and His
purposes of love in order
to relieve our tears and
our anxieties. He wants to
give us courage as we
butter. He flipped the
butter on his plate and
threw some food on top of
it to hide it from the
cashier. In this way he
lied to the cashier about
what was on his plate.
That afternoon the
directors met to notify
the young man that it had
been their intention to
notify of his promotion to
this choice position and
large salary; but because
of what they had
discovered in the
cafeteria, they knew that
they must discharge him,
They felt that they could
not have as the head of
their trust department
one who would lie and
steal.
Both in natural things
and in spiritual things,
honesty is always the best
policy.

Well, tonight on "The
Waltons" Mary Ellen has
her baby and the first
grandchild of the series
makes its debut. I am
sure that many of you will
be watching when this
happy event unfolds. It is
a two hour segment for
the program and one
which I know will boost
the ratings. I just wish
that Grandma '(Ellen
Corby) would be there to
see it.
I read an article the
other day that said that
Ellen Corby is
recuperating from her
stroke. She still is par
tially paralyzed but is
eager to return to her
role. The producers of
course are eager for her
to come back. They had
almost final I ized an
agreement whereby she
would return, though
paralyzed, but the net
work, CBS, said no. They
did not want anyone to
think that they were
exploiting Ms. Corby.
If you think that Ms.
Corby should be allowed
to return although not
face the struggles and the
crises of life. The
psalmist was able to face
tomorrow with all of its
uncertainties with
confidence because he
was assured of the
abiding presence of his
Shepherd Lord.
The way of faith is a life
of dialogue with God.
Man was made to walk
and to talk with God.
Prayer is not a pious pose
we must assume. Prayer
is not a burdensome duty
we must perform. Prayer
is the joyful privilege of
receiving com
munications from a
loving tattler and being
able to communicate with
Him concerning our
question, problems and
needs.
God is always present.
God is everywhere
present and on the job for
good to those who love
Him.
The life of faith will
reveal itself in a constant
openness to divine
direction.
The way of faith is a
way of joy that excels all
others. One day with God
is better than a thousand
days away from Him
"Every day with Jesus is
sweeter than the day
before." To be a door
keeper in the house of
the Lord brings more joy
than to dwell on high in
the tents of wickedness.
Jesus speaks of the
importance of faith in
saying, "If you have
faith as a grain of
mustard seed, you will
say to this mountain,
Move from here to there,
and it will move; and
nothing will be im
possible to you."
A mustard seed is a
small seed, rather, it is
one of the smallest of all
seeds. Jesus said just that
little faith can do won
ders. Use your faith.
If we would grow a
greater faith, we need to
give ourselves not only to
private worship but also
to regular public worship.
if we would walk the
way of faith, we need to
give oursefves to
something outside our
selves that is bigger than
ourselves and trust God
to help us accomplish it.

Working cooperatively
