The ABC's of CPR are
identified as Airway,
Breathing and Cir
culation. In addition to
these three categories,
other subjects covered in
the basic course included
unconsciousness, pulse
check, cardiac com
pression, injuries and
choking.
Minor differences in
basic life support for
infants and small
children, and that of
adults were brought out
in the course.
Being able to remain
calm in a time of crisis
and take the right steps
often mean the difference
in saving or losing a life.
Once the training has
been secured, periodic
practice in CPR is
essential to insure a
satisfactory level of
proficiency.
Cards issued for one
year are renewable
