Ladies Auxiliary Re-
Organized - The Ladies
Auxiliary of The Bonaire-
Kathieen Volunteer Fire
Department held a
meeting last week to re
organize and elect of
ficers of the organization.
Those elected were:
Linda Paton, president;
Nancy Jo Hudson, vice
president; Margaret
Davidson, secretary and
Mary Holly treasurer.
Membership is open to
all ladies of the two
communities who would
like to support the efforts
of the BKVFD. Regular
meetings are to be held
the second Tuesday of
each month.

SHOES NOT REQUIRED - Billie Carriker,
who says she “never wears shoes”, is pictured at
her dining table with material for the ’7B Cancer
Crusade. Co-ordinating the crusade for Bonaire-
Kathleen and a portion of South Warner Robins,
Billie estimated 20 Neighborhood Chairmen and
200 “ helpers” would be working the area April
20-28. Packets for the Crusade Workers were
distributed prior to the kick-off meeting at
Warner Robins First United Methodist Church
scheduled for April 20th. While financial support
is needed, Billie stressed the most important
function of the crusade as being that of providing
facts about cancer. Billie, her husband William
R. Carriker and their four children Trent (age
14), Shandra (age 12). Cristie (age 10) and six
year old Russ have been residents of Bonaire for
2 l / 2 years. Their home is located at 106 Becky, off
Moody Road.

the group will be pleased

them for an evening of
enjoyment.
Youth of Bonaire First
Baptist Church will be
honored by an evening of
music dedicated to those
preparing for a summer
mission trip. Musicians of
the host church will be
participating along with
The Happy Hearts. The
public is invited to attend
the service which begins
at 7 p.m.
Mark May 7th on your
calendars and plan to
attend the Gospel Singing
at Calvary Baptist
Church on Highway 96.

admires a colorful afghan crocheted by a friend
who contributed time in making the shawl to help
secure funds for a non-profit organization.
Bonaire has many gifted people who share their
talents to promote Good Will. Items will be
needed for the Arts & Crafts division of the up
coming Bonaire-Kathleen Fun Day. More in
formation concerning the event will be available
at a later date.
