August 12th.

late Mr. Williams of
Bonaire, "Robbie" was
the youngest member of
the congregation at
Bonaire United Methodist
Church on Sunday,
August 27th.
Joan and Don Hazen
observed their sliver
wedding anniversary on
August 28th.
Janice Smith spent
several days with her
mother Mrs. Ronald Fink
who was a surgical
patient at Lanier Park
Hospital In Gainesville,
last week and with her
father at The Fink's
home in Cleveland, Ga.
Will Young was
honored August 23rd in
observance of his fifth
birthday.
Joining his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Billy
Young, sisters Terrie and
Sena, and grandparents,
Mr. and Mrs. William R.
Leatherman, a number of
cousins and neighborhood
friends attended the
celebration.

To Parents Os Houston County
This September 5 will begin the 17th year that children, 3 years of age - 12th grade have
been given the advantage of dancing with college educated local teachers with degrees in
education who love children, love dance and love Perry.
Claire Davis Wills will be instructing all pre-school, junior and intermediate dance
classes
Sally Stanley will be instructing advanced dance.
A New Dance Studio and a 5000 sq. ft. gymnasium with the best in gymnastic equipment
is being constructed on Hwy 41 No. in the Perry City Limits and will be in use during this
teaching season. Sally Stanley, Lane Whipple Clark and other qualified coaches will be
instructing gymnastics.

Jaycees • The Bonaire-
Kathleen Jaycettes
honored the Bonaire
Elementary School Staff
during pre-planning week
by serving donuts, coffee
and soft drinks at the
school on August 24th.
Jaycee's and
Jaycette's attending the
State Board meeting in
Savannah August 18-20
were Janice and Ralph
Cohen, Dianne and
Bobby Ferguson, Sharon
and Jim Gillenwater,
Judy and Terry Gore and
Vicki and Bob Manry.
Recognitions received
by the Jaycette's at the
meeting were as follows:
Parade of Chapters for
New Clubs; Retention
Plus One Award to Janice
Cohen; Speak-Up Cer
tification to Sharon
Gillenwater and First
Timer Award to Judy
Gore, Vicki Manry and
Dianne Ferguson.
The Jaycees placed
third In Parade of
Chapters.
The two organizations
were supported by other
community workers in a
Work Day at the local
Scout Hut on Saturday,
August 26th.
Much progress was
reported, with still much
more to be done.
The Jaycette's have
planned a Labor Day
Week End Cook Out for
Jaycees and their
families.
Methodist Women Meet
President Nancy
Jackson called the
August meeting of The
Bonaire United Methodist
Women to order and read
the purpose of the
organization.

Tritt, four year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Richard Tritt, 21 Lake Front Drive, Warner
Robins, called attention to being left out on the
trip by wearing her shirt to the Cheerleading
Kick-Off held at Ted Wright Memorial Park in
Bonaire on Saturday, August 25th. Katherine is a
mascot and her sister Stephanie a cheerleader
for the Bengals team of the Houston County
Recreation Department.
"Ye Shall Be My Wit
nesses" which involved
members of the group
and included open
discussion.
As follow-up action to
the program, a Friend
ship Box was prepared
for a Houston County
family in temporary need
of assistance.
Plans for future events
revolved around the
Church Homecoming
scheduled for October
Ist, Family Fellowship at
Lake Sylvan on October
22nd with Ventriloquist
Tiny Moore and The
Little Wrangler on
program and an
Evangelistic Gospel
Singing featuring The
Believers from
Thomaston on October
27th.
Mary Perdue served as
hostess in the absense of
Mildred Fenner who was
on the sick list.
Their November 20th
meeting is scheduled to
be held at the home of
Katherine Bell.

Names New Officers I
Heard Home Ec Club
met on Aug. 16, at the
home of Mrs. Addle Wood
and daughter Evelyn.
The devotional and
prayer were given by
Mrs. Addle Wood. Mrs.
Pearl Thompson presided
over the meeting in the
absence of Mrs. Myra
Willis, president. Mrs.
Betty Mosley, vice
president, came in to
preside over business
meeting.
The club's par
ticipation in Achievement
Day and the County Fair
was the main topic
discussed. Also, the club
voted to place a book in
the Perry Library in
honor of Mr. Johnnie
Thompson.
A new ruling is that
each hostess will be
responsible for the
program for that
meeting. The new of
ficers are: President
Mrs. Nigra Willis, vice
president Mrs. Betty
Worley, treasurer, Mrs.
Virginia McGee; Sec.
Mrs. Addie Wood;
