Group Forming In Perry To Tour Holy Land
Have you ever wanted
to walk where Jesus
walked? To see the once
every ten year Passion
Play at Oberammergau,
Germany?
If so, there is a group
now forming in Perry for
al2 day tour of the Holy
Land in late June of 1980.
The tour is under the
Health Agency
To Consider Two
Local Proposals
The Executive Com
mittee of the Health
Systems Agency of
Central Georgia will
consider two health
related project ap
plications at its meeting
at 5:15 pm. on Wed
nesday, Dec. 12 at the
New Perry Hotel in
Perry.
The Medical Center of
Central Georgia in Macon
is proposing to spend
$133,930 to replace
nuclear medicine
equipment at that
hospital, with the new
equipment providing
additional diagnostic
capabilities to serve
patients.
The Central Georgia
Mental Health - Mental
Retardation Center in
Macon is applying for
Federal funds in the
amount of $136,349 for a

Ratterree and Mr.
Onumurn
Airman Michael D.
Willard, son of retired Air
Force Senior Master
Sergeant and Mrs. Jesse
J. Willard Sr., of Route 1,
Perry, Ga., has been
assigned to Lowry Air
Force Base, Colo., after
completing Air Force
basic training.
During the six weeks at
Lackland Air Force Base,
the airman studied the
Air Force mission,
organization and customs
and received special
training in human
relations.
In addition, airmen
who complete basic
training earn credits
towards an associate
degree in applied science
through the Community
College of the Air Force.
The airman will now
receive specialized in
struction in the munitions
and weapons main
tenance field.
Airman Willard is a
1977 graduate of Perry
High School.
Sgl. James Ford Jr.,
whose wife, Minnie, lives
in Perry, recently par
ticipated in joint training
exercise BOLD EAGLE 80
at Eglin Air Force Base,
Fla.
Over 20,000 personnel
from all four services and
the reserve components
participated in the
month-long exercise. The
training was designed to
refine procedures among
the services and to
develop a high joint
readiness.
Ford is regularly
assigned as a squad
leader with the 197th
Infantry Brigade at Fort
Benning, Ga.
Ford entered the Army
in January 1975.
He is a 1970 graduate of
Perry High School.
His parents, Mr. and
Mrs. James Ford Sr., live
in Elko.

local group together for
one of the country’s top
travel and tour agencies.
Rev. Ariail told The
Home Journal, “This has
been a lifelong ambition
of mine and this par
ticular tour is one of the
Teenage Alcoholism
Treatment and
Education Program. This
Program will be for the
development and im
plementation of
preventive education and
treatment activities
designed to reduce
teenage problem
drinking.
At 7:00 p.m. that same
evening, also at the New
Perry Hotel, the full
Board of Governors of the
HSA will meet to consider
approval of the proposed
1980 Central Georgia
Health Plan and the
HSA’s application for
continued designation as
the official health
planning agency for
Central Georgia. Both the
Executive Committee
meeting and the Board of
Governors meeting are
open to the public.

taking the tour which
leaves in late June of
1980, Space is still
available for others who
may be interested, but
the tour company will not
guarantee tickets to the
Passion Play for those
who enroll later than the
