Business sponsorships help make 1990 festival a reality One key ingredient to the growing reputation and success of the Dogwood Festival has been the support given by Perry business and industry. Particular thanks go from the Downtown Promotion Council to those firms which supported the 1990 festival financially and through their event sponsorships. The list includes the Perry Convention & Visitors Bureau, the C.W. Pettigrew Farm & Community Life Center, GTE, Northrop Corporation, Frito-Lay, and Cellular One. Also underwriting portions of the 1990 festival were PPG, The Perry Times, Trust Company Bank of Middle Georgia, Davis Company, Beckham Brothers Company, Crossroads Bank and Bank South. Thanks go to CB&T of Middle Georgia, Bank of Perry, C&S of Warner Robins, S&E Sales, Family Pontiac, Woodruff Auto Sales and the City of Perry. Idakas will display arts, crafts for sale Festivalgoers with an eye for fine arts and crafts will want to make sure and take in the Idaka Club Arts & Crafts show during the Dogwood Festival. According to Idaka president Janie Watson, the Saturday show will be the eighteenth consecutive one the club has held to raise funds and the first one to be held in conjunction with the Dogwood Festival. The show will be held from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the National Guard Armory, and admission is $1.50 per person.
