The Crisis in the
Gulf
By Michael Dunn
This is what is happening in the
Gulf. A French Tornado got shot
down by the enemy. We are not
sure if he durvived or not. The F
fifteens and Tornadoes blew up the
runway of the enemy. There hasn't
been ground fighting so far. Our
people are probably going to win
the war.

By Campbell Warner
Junior editor, third grade
It was a bright, sunny Saturday.
I had just gotten back from the -
Cracker Barrel restaraunt from
eating breakfast. I walked inside and
took the blank tape out of the
VCR. After watching Gravedale
High, one of the cartoons 1 had
videotaped, I thought, "Why not
ask Mrs. Hutto about a school
newspaper. The idea worked! It took
a lot of work! Then, one day on '
February 1991 we got the
newspaper together. Hopefully it
will be out on the 14th of ,
February.

Fourth grade news
By Rebecca Akridge
We won the "Perry Panther
Award" for high attendance in the
fourth grade. We had twd students
to move (Brandy Horst and Donnie
Hall).
We also read a story called
"Fourth Grade Nothing". It was
very good. We wrote new year's
resolutions for 1991.
In math we are learning division.
We are pretty good at it. For
Christmas, we made Santas out of
coat hangers. In social studies we
have been learning states and
capitans. We have been working on
writing about things and places in
Georgia.
Georgia
8y Lynn Hawk
Fourth Grade
Georgia is the largest state east of
the Mississippi River. Its capital is
Atlanta. Atalanta lis very big. It
has tall buildings. It has very busy
streets. My brother used to live
there. My half sister lives there
with her father. Georgia has many
parks and recreation areas. It has an
ocean.
Georgia also has a lot of farm
land in it . My grandfather and my
uncle grows wheat and oats to sell.
The wheat is called winter wheat.
Other people in Georgia grow
hogs and cattle. A lot of people
raise horses and ride them in horse
shows around the state.
I like to live in the state of
Georgia. You can go to the
mountains or you can go to the
ocean. You can go to the Atlanta
Zoo, go see shows and things at the
new Georgia Ag Center, and go to
the movies. You can do almost
anything.
