Distribution of Commodities will be conducted today from 9:00

Battered Women's Support Group will meet today at 1 p.m. at the
Salvation Army at 113 McArthur Blvd. This is a support group for
women living in relationships in which they are being battered or abused.

ACOA (Adult Children of Alcoholics) will meet today at 7:30 p.m. in
St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church of Perry. This is a 12 step support
group. For more information call 987-2190.
Exchange Club will meet today at noon at the Holiday Inn in Perry.

Friday and Saturday at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and Friday meetings are in the
Houston Medical Center Annex; Saturday meeting is at the Hodac
Community Crisis Center, 404 Duke Ave., in Warner Robins.

Frank Jackson of Orlando, Fla. and Fannie Jackson of Marshallville.

J.W. Robinson
MARSHALLVILLE - J.W. Robinson, 33, of P.O. Box 38 died Feb. 9
in a Montezuma hospital.
Bom in Macon County, he was an employee of the Hamm Brothers
Farm in Marshallville and was a member of Springhill Baptist Church in
Marshallville.
Services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Springhill Baptist Church,
Marshallville. Burial was in Willowlake Memorial Gardens Cemetery,
Fort Valley. The Reverend Joe R. Oglesby officiated.
Survivors include his wife, Garnett W. Robinson of Montezuma; son,
Darryl B. Robinson of Montezuma; mother, Fannie Pearl Robinson of
Marshallville; father, Hurbert Robinson of Marshallville; sisters and
brothers, Rosie Mae Walker of Atlanta, Mary Ann Robinson and James
Hubbart both of Montezuma, Melinda Taylor, Doris Wakins, James
Robinson and William Robinson all of Marshallville, Angelia D. Robin
son of Warner Robins and Frank Robinson of Greenwood, S.C.

Wesley Vernon Young Sr.
HELENA - Wesley Vernon Young Sr., 61, of 906 Lennox Ave. died
Friday in a Macon hospital.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Lowes Funeral Home. Burial
was in Helena City Cemetery. The Reverends Clark Abbott and Bill Jones
officiated.
Born in Wheeler County, he was the son of the late James Wesley
Young and Farrell Eudell Waters. He was a retired bread salesman and a
member of Faith Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Young of Helena; children, Ger
ald Young, Wesley Young Jr., Larry Young and Glenda Braden all of He
lena and Shelton Young of Perry; brother and sisters, Bobby Young of
Helena, Jackie Ramus, Carolyn Patrick, Polly Neilly, Farrell Mitchell
and Sheila Herring all of Macon; eight grandchildren; and three step
grandchildren.
Georgia Mae Woodard
PERRY - Georgia Mae Woodard of 1310 Houston St. in Perry died
Monday morning at her residence.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by
Richardson Funeral Home of Perry.
Homer M. Giles
MARSHALLVILLE - Homer M. Giles, 71, of Route 1 died Monday at
his residence.
Services were held Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Little Union Primitive Baptist
Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery. The Reverend Huyward
Joyner officiated.
Born in Crawford County, he was a retired employee of A.M. Bickley
Company.
Mr. Giles is survived by his wife, Lucy G. Giles of Marshallville;
children, Betty Giles and Howard Giles both of Marshallville; brothers and
sister, Oddie Mae Smith of Lizella, Storey Giles Jr. of Fort Valley and
J.B. Giles of Soperton.
Rooks Funeral Home in Fort Valley had charge of arrangements.
Osie Mae Arnold
ATLANTA - Osie Mae Arnold, 80, of 610 Dalvigney St. died Thursday
in a local hospital.
Services were held Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Little Popular Baptist Church.
Burial followed in the church cemetery. The Reverend Solomon Whitfield
officiated.
Bom in Dooly County, she was the daughter of the late Dot and Hattie
McKenzie and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her daughter, Hattie Mae King of Perry; brother, Jim
McKenzie of Perry; 25 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; one great
great-grandchild; and several stepchildren.
The family may be contacted at the residence of Hattie King, 920
Jeanne St, Perry.
Bobby E. Glover Mortuary had charge of arrangements.
Delmar Jackson Conner
HAWKINSVILLE - Delmar Jackson Conner, 53, of Hawkinsville died
Monday in a Macon hospital.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. today in the chapel of Clark Funeral
Home in Hawkinsville. Burial will follow in Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial
Gardens. The Reverends Kelly Pritchett and Gary Abbott will officiate.
Mr. Conner was a native of Pulaski County. He was a member of
Broad Street Baptist Church and the Hawkinsville Rotary Club. He was
self-employed in real estate, farming and banking.
He is survived by three children, Leigh Conner of Atlanta, Jack Conner
of Hawkinsville and Will Conner of Statesboro; mother, Hildred Conner
of Hawkinsville; one brother, Royce Conner of Hawkinsville; and several
nieces and nephews.
Clark Funeral Home in Hawkinsville has charge of arrangements.
