Warner Robins Shooting
results in death, arrests

Staff Writer
Gunfire erupted in the early
morning hours of Saturday,
February 16th. When it was over,
20-year old Timothy Cumby of
Warner Robins lie dead, the victim
of a shotgun blast to the chest.
According to Houston County
Sheriffs Investigator Hank Lowry,
an apparent confrontation occurred
in the parking lot of the Paradise
Club located on Long St., Elbcria.
"We really don’t know why," said
Lowry.
"We may never really know what
started it."

According to Lowry, the alterca
tion occurred between 1:30 a.m. and
1:45 a.m. Saturday morning.
Sheriff Deputies arrived on the
scene within minutes.
Cumby was rushed to a nearby
hospital where he was pronounced
D.O.A.
Derrick Berry, 17, of Macon has
been arrested and charged with mur
der. Also arrested and charged with
being a party to the crime is 18-
year old Eric Parker, also of Macon.
Suspects are currently being held
without bond in the Houston
County jail. The incident remains
under investigation.
