Watts, Camp wed in spring ceremony
Miss Julie Anne Watts of Perry
became the bride of Mr. Thomas
Edward Camp IV March 21 at the
First Baptist Church of Perry. The
double ring ceremony took place at
1 p.m. with Reverend Allan Lock
erman officiating. The ringing of
the church bells served as a prelude
to the traditional ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. John Hamilton Watts of
Perry and the groom is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Edward
Camp 111 of Jacksonville, Fla.
Music during the ceremony was
presented by Dennis McCleary, or
ganist, Roy Johstono and Chris
Oxley, trumpeters, and Tommy
Storey, vocalist. The wedding was
directed by Mrs. Jackie Marshall.
The church was decorated with a
large arch candelabra holding an ar
rangement of iris, snapdragons,
tulips and Gerbera daisies. Each side
was adorned with a seven branch
candelabra holding lighted tapers
footed with Oregon ferns. Large
white bows with English ivy en
hanced the church pews and magno
lia blooms with green foliage lined
the windows.
Mr. Camp served his son as best
man. Ushers were Jacob Carter Jr.
of Westminster, S.C., Ridley
Howard Jr. of Atlanta, Brian Kelly
of Jacksonville, Fla., Troy Johnson
of Dallas, Ga., Stephen Trivett of
Daytona, Fla., Glenn Aspinwall of
Atlanta, Paul Gideon of Pittsburgh,
Pa. and Alex Morrison of Jack
sonville, Fla.
Mrs. Jody Price of Perry attended
the bride as Mahon of Honor. Miss
Paula Wilson served as Maid of
Honor. The bridesmaids were Kim
Skradis of Marietta, Stacy Strick
land of Atlanta, Debra Williams of
Baxley, Robin Wilson of Cocoa
Fla., Kim Kelly of Jacksonville,
Fla., Tracy Taylor of Jacksonville,
Fla., Elizabeth Howard of Atlanta
and Suzanna Foley of Westminster,
S.C.
The bridesmaids wore tea length
suits fashioned of navy brocade.
The fitted jackets were designed
with jewel necklines and long
sleeves slightly tapered from shoul
der to wrist. The bodice was ac
cented with an overlay of Victorian
lace and pearl buttons dropping to a

Mr. and Mrs. Barry R. Campbell

George R. Cook of Milledgeville
announce the engagement of their
daughter Lori Renee Cook to
Robert Edward Chaney, son of Ms.
Yvonne Chaney of Perry and Mr.
and Mrs. Gerald Chaney of Perry.
The bride-elect is the granddaugh
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Garnett Wood
of Dublin and Mr. and Mrs. Vem
R. Cook of Tombstone, Az. She
attended Northside High School and
HOUSe, from 2B
Down the side hallway is the
master bedroom. The walls are a
light shade of pink which high
lights the pink in the floral bed
spread and curtains. All of the fur
niture is medium toned wood. A
door at the back of the room leads
to the master bathroom which is
decorated in pink and green. The
sink is made of a dark green
marble-looking surface.
Upstairs are the daughters
rooms. At the top of the stairs is a
small table with a pretty tiffany
looking lamp. To the right is
Rebecca Baggett's room. The room
is decorated with posters and has a
small twin bed and an antique
dresser. The ceilings in both of the
upstairs bedrooms are arched very
high.
Through a side door in the first
scalloped hemline. They carried
bouquets of purple iris and wax
flower, pink and yellow tulips and
solidaster.
The bride's mother wore a laven
der brocade jacket with a flowing
tea length chiffon skirt. The
groom's mother wore a chiffon
tiered dress with violet accents.
The bride was given in marriage
by her father. She chose for her
wedding a cathedral length gown of
white brocade. The basque styled
bodice was accented with pearl and
rhinestone buttons. The leg-o-mut
ton sleeves were pouffed at the
shoulders and tapered to end points
at the wrists. The skirt was softly
gathered and embellished in front
and back with braided seed pearls.
Her cathedral length veil of bridal
illusion was attached to a bandeau
highlighted with pearls and sequins.
Her flowers were a bouquet of fresh
long-stemmed Casablanca lilies and
white tulips interspersed with
stephanotis and English ivy,
adorned with a lace trimmed white
ribbon.
Following the ceremony, the
bride's parents were hosts for a re
ception held in the church social
hall. The centerpiece of the recep
tion was a large raised floral ar
rangement of spring flowers draped
with white linen.
The bride's table was covered
with a lace cloth and an overlay of
floral chintz. The five tiered wed
ding cake had a basket weave design
and was decorated with fresh pink
and white camelias. The groom’s
cake was also a basket weave design
with three tiers. Servers at the re
ception were Mrs. Robert Brewer,
Miss Heather Brewer, Mrs. Paul
King, Mrs. Don Holt and Miss
Beverly Wade. The bride’s book was
kept by Miss Jennifer Thomas of
Hawkinsville. Classical music was
performed by violinist Pat McCall
accompanied by her pianist. Two
hundred white balloons were re
leased in honor of the couple as
they left the reception. After a wed
ding trip to France, Mr. and Mrs.
Camp reside in Atlanta.

A holiday cocktail buffet was
given in honor of the couple at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Ridley
is currently employed with Western
Temporary Services in Macon.
The groom-elect is the grandson
of Myrtice Moss and the fate Ju
lian Moss of Perry and the late Mr.
and Mrs. L.D. Chaney of Mcßae.
He attended Perry High School and
is currently employed with Eagle
Siding in Macon.
The wedding is planned for
September 12, 1992 at 3 p.m. at
Northview United Methodist
Church in Warner Robins.
bedroom is the connecting bath
room which is decorated cutely in
black and white. The floor tile is
black and white checkered and the
shower curtain is black. There is a
large mirror in front of twin basins.
Through a door at the end of the
bathroom is Jenna Baggett’s room.
This room has dark green walls and
is decorated with books, ballerina
posters and a few pieces of art that
Jenna Baggett drew herself.
According to her sister, Baggett is
quite an artist. This may explain
her talent at creating house plans.
If Baggett’s business gains some
success, more and more people will
be able to see first hand how charm
ing a Baggett-style home can be to
live in.

Mrs. Thomas Edward Camp IV
Howard December 18 in Atlanta.
A kitchen shower was given for
the bride January 17 at the home of
Mrs. Billy Richardson. Other
hostesses were Mrs. Billy Irwin,
Mrs. Robert Brewer and Mrs. Paul
King.
A miscellaneous shower was
given for the bride at the home of
Kim Skradis February 6.
A miscellaneous shower was
given for the bride at the home of
Mrs. James C. Peavy January 19.
An "Around-lhe-Clock" couples
shower was given by Paula Wilson
and Stacy Strickland in Atlanta
February 29.
On March 7, Mrs. J.L. Gallc
more hosted a luncheon for the

\ stock to boiling and add to gelatin,
stirring to dissolve. Add orange
juice concentrate and hot pepper
l sauce. Mix well.
Pour 1/2 cup gelatin mixture
is into a five cup mold or loaf pan.
\ Arrange broccoli, pimento and
black olives in the mold. Mix
Jarlsberg and apricots. Layer
l shredded chicken, cheese mixture
and any extra vegetables in the
mold. Pour on remaining gelatin
mixture. Refrigerate six hours or
overnight. Un-mold onto a
mixture of radicchio and Bibb
lettuce or other greens.
Artichoke Capellini With Salmon
and Nuts;
1-1/2 ounces pignoli nuts
1 tsp. plus 3 tbsp. Bertolli Classico
olive oil
1/2 lb. skinless, boneless salmon
cut into one inch cubes
6 ounces of artichoke capellini
5 ounces frozen petite peas
1-1/2 tbsp. finely minced lemon
zest
1 tbsp. fresh tarragon
4 ounces Jarlsberg Lite, shredded
Freshly ground pepper
Shake pignoli nuts in a skillet
over medium-high heat until nearly
golden. Reserve. In the same pan,
heat one teaspoon olive oil and
saute salmon until done, four to
five minutes.
Meanwhile, cook pasta according
to directions. Three minutes before
end of cooking time, add peas.
When both are cooked, drain.
In serving bowl, toss pasta and
peas with salmon, lemon zest, tar
ragon, remaining olive oil and
cheese, pass the grinder at the
table.
Oriental Stir-Frv Salad:
2 tbsp. Bertolli olive oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1-2 tbsp. fresh or frozen ginger,
minced
1 medium red pepper, cut into
slices
12 ounces snow peas, stemmed,
halved lengthwise
14 ounce can baby com, drained and
dried
1/2 lb. cooked lobster meat, crab
meat or crab legs
3 tbsp. balsamic vinegar
2 tbsp. light soy sauce
4 ounces Jarlsberg Lite cheese,
shredded
1 cup green onions, sliced
Heat olive oil in large wok or
deep heavy skillet until nearly
smoking. Add garlic and ginger and
stir fry until golden. Add red pep
per and stir fry one minute. Add
peas, corn and seafood. Stir-fry
three minutes. Add vinegar, soy
sauce, cheese and onion.

given for Lhe couple at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Aspinwall of
Atlanta March 14.
Mrs. Annabcllc Lytle and Mrs.
Margilu Mims hosted the brides
maid's luncheon March 20 at the
New Perry Perry Hotel. They pre
sented the bride with a set of brass
napkin rings.

finely shredded, crisp green and/or
red cabbage. Serve with freshly
ground pepper, to taste.

announce the engagement of their
daughter Molly Katherine Rider to
James Walter Moss Jr. of Perry,
son of Mrs. Ruth Moss of Ft. Val
ley and Mr. J.W. Moss of Perry.
Miss Rider is the granddaughter
of Mr. and Mrs. N.C. Chapman and
Mrs. Erma Rider and the late Mr.
Wilbur Rider. She is the great
granddaughter is Mrs. C.C. Chap
man.

Jones deployed to the
Baltic on USS Hawes
Navy Petty Officer First Class
Phillip B. Jones, son of Lee B.
Jones of Perry, recently deployed to
the Baltic Sea aboard the guided
missile frigate USS Hawes, home
ported in Charleston, S.C.
The USS Hawes made historic
port stops in Lithuania, Estonia and
Latvia, all former Soviet Baltic
states. These visits were the first
made by an American ship in more
than 60 years.
USS Hawes was in northern Eu
rope as part of Baltops ‘92 (Baltic
Operations 1992), a routine multi-

fall in the nursing program.
The groom-elect is the grandson
of Mrs. Myrtis Moss and the late
Mr. Julian Moss and the late Mr.
and Mrs. L.D. Chaney. He is a
graduate of Perry High and is man
ager of the Waffle House in Adel.
The couple will be residing in Adel.
The wedding will take place Au
gust 29, 1992 at 2 p.m. at the
Perry Presbyterian Church. There
will be a reception after the wed
ding.

and anti-surface warfare, as well as
communications and seamanship,
to enhance interoperability.
Jones also had the opportunity to
visit Denmark, Norway, Scotland,
Poland and Finland.
The 1976 graduate of Perry High
School joined the Navy in March
1982.
