Lillian Williford Agerton
TARRYTOWN - Lillian Williford Agerton, 75, of Route 1 died
November 13 at her residence. Bom in Toombs County, she was the
daughter of the late Robert Franklin Williford and Lilie Bell McKenzie
Williford and was the widow of Willie E. Agerton. She was a member of
Tabernacle Baptist Church. Survivors: children, Carolyn Morris of
Higgston, Ann McDonald of Vidalia, Shirley Summerall of Martinez,
Marie Bunch of North Augusta, S.C., and W. Frank Agerton of
Lexington, S.C.; brothers and sister, Margaret Rinehart of Perry, Marvin
Williford, Jack Williford and Donald Williford, all of Vidalia, Wallace
Williford and Bobbie Williford, both of Garden City; stepmother, Miriam
Williford of Vidalia; half brother and sister, Wendell Williford of Warner
Robins and Hiawatha Allen of Vidalia; six grandchildren and a great
grandchild. Services: were November 17 at 11 a.m. in Tabernacle Baptist
Church. Burial: Lakeview Memorial Gardens. The Revs. Jim Headley and
William Branch officiated. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations
be made to the Georgia Heart Association of the American Cancer
Society. Murchison Funeral Home in Vidalia had charge of arrangements.
Emily Smith
HAWKINSVILLE - Emily Smith, 95, of 242 Fuller Road died
November 13 at her residence. Born in Houston County, she was a
member of Green Grove Baptist Church, Aid and Protection Society,
Senior Citizens Center and was former treasurer of the Missionary
Society. Survivors: children, Bertha Fuller of Hawkinsville, Edward
Evans of Perry and Ernest Evans of Detroit; brother and sister, Willie
Scott and J.C. Clark, both of Hawkinsville; 15 grandchildren, 31 great
grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Services: November 18 in
Green Grove Baptist Church. Burialxhurch cemetery. The Revs. Carlton
Martin and R.D. Hill officiating. Bobby E. Glover Mortuary in Perry has
charge of arrangements.
Leslie Rudolph Williams
MONTEZUMA - Leslie Rudolph Williams, 88, of Hawkinsville Road
died November 15 in a local hospital. Bom in Macon County, he was the
son of the late Charles Fletcher Williams and Mary Ida Batton Williams
and was the widow of Nina Johnson Williams. He was a retired
lumberman and farmer. He was a member and deacon of First Baptist
Church and a member of Baracca Sunday School class. Survivors:
children, Oscar Williams and John Williams, both of Perry, Mrs. A.H.
Reeves Jr. of Oglethorpe and Mrs. William Sawyer of Cordclc; brothers
and sisters, Nora Jackson of Charleston, S.C., Kate Horton, Louis
Williams, Mary Fore and Elizabeth Riddle, all of Montezuma; eight
grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Services: November 17 in First
Baptist Church. Burial: Felton Cemetery. The Rev. Bill Givens and Dr.
Randy Gregg officiated. Watson-Matthcws Funeral Home had charge of
arrangements.
Frances Ingram Green
PERRY - Frances Ingram Green, 63, of 1021 Country Club Road died
November 14. Bom in Pulaski County, she was the daughter of the late
Robert L. and Christine Walker Ingram and was a restaurant manager for
the New Perry Hotel. She was a member of the Sorosis Club, the Perry
Garden Club, High Point Church in Macon and the Susannah Wesley
Sunday School Class. Survivors: husband, Harold F. Green of Perry;
children, Hcndley McLeod of Perry, Faye McKaig of Daytona Beach, Fla.,
and Fran Pierce of St. Simons Island; sisters and brother, Pauline Greer of
Spartanburg, S.C., Louise Hilliard of Davisboro and Odell Floyd and
Robert Ingram, both of Hawkinsville; and seven grandchildren. Services:
were November 15 at 2 p.m. in Perry United Methodist Church. Burial:
Orange Hill Cemetery, Pulaski County. The Revs. Jim McLendon and
Don Van Hoosier officiated. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry had
charge of arrangements.

this year’s Hugh O’Brien Leader
ship Award to Matthew Scott
Hutchens.
Hutchens, son of Larry and Debi
Hutchens, was bestowed the na
tional award in recognition of his
leadership qualities and concern for
others.
“It’s a great honor for him,”
stated Debi Hutchens. “To us, he’s
a delightful young man and we’re
very proud of him,” she added.
