Freshmen and
parents to meet at
PHS Jan. 19-20
On Jan. 19-20 Perry High
School will be hosting a series-of
meetings for ninth graders and their
parents. During this time, parents,
students and advisors will discuss
course selection, detail the advise
ment process, review progress and
develop a three-year plan for the
program of study.
Each freshman's parents will re
ceive notification of the appoint
ment time and will have instruc
tions for rc-schcduling, if neces
sary.
According to Mrs. Leigh Giles,
guidance counselor, "We hope to
meet with each ninth grader’s par
ents and better inform them of what
is available to their child. By doing
this, we can gain better parent input
for each learner’s studies."
The meeting will be part of the
school's re-structuring plan, de
signed to better meet the needs of
today's youngsters. Perry High was
recently awarded a grant for imple
mentation of the curricular design.
