SELLING YOUR HOUSE
fl
They used to say that "1.8. M." stood for
"I've been moved." And indeed the computer
firm was one of many major corporations that
moved their employees around the country as
if it were a big chess board. In the easy
money days of the 70's and 80's, the company
would pick up the tab for everythmg and even
buy the employees old house.
Things have changed. There are probably
fewertransfers overall, and firms are trying to
limit the cost. In many areas, they prefer not
to buy the employee's house or have to hold
unsold properties. Instead, some companies
offer bonuses to transferred workers who sell
before they move.
That's where we come in. A real estate
professional is experienced in marketing
property, even within a tight time frame. We
know how to price a house to sell, how to
advertise it and show it to the right prospec
tive buyers, how to close the sale. Bottom
line: most sellers end up with the price that
pays the commission, and often much more.
Home sellers like the service they get
