Lakers 17
Spurs 15
The Lakers rallied from a 15-7
fourth quarter deficit, outscoring the
Spurs 10-0 in the final period for
the win in mighty mite play Feb. 9
at Perry Middle.
Matthew Hunt led the fourth
quarter rally with six points and
Cameron Draughome and Roderick
Whitehurst had two points each in
the final period.
Kyle McCarty led the Spurs with
seven points and Chris Frye and
Jordan Holt had three points each.

Ryan Jordan's baskci in the
fourth quarter provided the winning
margin for the Pistons. Zach
Yclton led the Pistons with five
points, Jordan finished with four
points, all in the second half.
Blake Bozeman led the Bulls
charge as he scored four points in
the final quarter. Zack Yasin
chipped in a basket in the quarter.
The Bulls first half scoring came
from Jai Bowens who had a basket
and Charlie Brown who connected
on a free throw.
Greg Williams rounded out the
Pistons scoring with two free
throws.
Celtics 21 points to lead them to a
victory in mighty mite play at
Perry Middle Feb. 9.
Shugart's 10 second half points
proved to be the difference as the
Celtics outscored the Heat 10-8 in
the final two quarters.
Roy Montague led the Heat with
10 points, including six in the first
quarter. Kyle Knowles scored all
four of the Heat's points in the third
quarter and added another basket in
the fourth quarter before fouling
out.
Ben Irwin added three points for
the Celtics.

Wildcats 22
Jeff Wilson had 10 points and
Corey Proctor scored nine to lead
the Tigers to a win in midget
league play Feb. 2 at Perry Middle
School.
Kent Franklin led the Wildcats
with 12 points, including eight in
the second half. Chad Bailey and
Meyur Vashi combined for 10
points to round out the scoring for
the Wildcats.
The game was close all the way,
with no more than a two point lead
separating the two teams at the end
of any of the periods.
Dustin Pierce scored three points
and Kyle Christian had two for the
Tigers.
Rebels 23
Bulldogs 22
Dante Holmes scored seven of his
13 points in the fourth quarter to
lead the Rebels to the Feb. 2 win in
midget play at Perry Middle.
The Rebels bounced back from a
scoreless third quarter and a 16-11
deficit heading into the final period.
They outscored the Bulldogs 12-6
over the final eight minutes.
Duran Billings and Lance
Arrington each added a fourth
quarter basket for the Rebels.
Elrico Owens led the Bulldogs
with 12 points including all six of
the ’Dogs points in the third period.
Rashod Lester and Brandon
Spainhour combined for seven
points and each scored a hoop in the
final period.
Volunteers 37
Gators 36
Kuma Davis and Robert Harrison
combined for 24 points and each
scored a basket in overtime to lead
the midget Vols to a win at Perry
Middle Feb. 2.
The Volunteers trailed 27-18
heading into the final quarter but
outscored the Gators 15-6 to force
overtime with the score tied at 33.
Josh Adams scored all three of
the Gators points in overtime, he
finished the game with 11 points.
Ty Jackson led the Gators with 14
points including eight in the third
quarter.
The Gators Kory Kitchens hit the
game's only three pointer in the
second quarter and finished with
four points.
Nets 17
Jazz 16
Tray Green hit three 3 pointers
and Shane Brown added another as
the Nets won the mite game at
Perry Middle Feb. 3.
The Jazz jumped to an 8-1 lead
after the first quarter and a 12-7
halftime lead, but were held to four
points in the second half.
Will Sexton led the Jazz with six
points and Roderick Thomas added
five points including a three
pointer.
Green hit a three pointer in the
second third and fourth quarters and
Brown's three also came in the final
period as the Nets outscored the
Jazz 6-2 for a dramatic win. Green
scored 14 points on the day.

There's no substitute for that expe
rience. The student body and the
parents are bound to have expecta
tions about what this teams can ac
complish. All I'm asking for them
to do is improve everyday and give
