My candidacy has grown in popularity with amazing rapidity during the past few weeks. Iam getting reports now from counties which I have not visited, telling me that my views on public ques tions meet with general approval and urging me to visit them and address the people. It is apparent that I cannot comply with this request. Waters died at the home -of his son, Mr. Jim Waters, last Thurs day afternoon at 5 o’clock, aged 75 years. He was well known over the county, and was honored and respected by the people. He is survived by ,seven children. The funeral services were held at Dewberry No. 2 last Fri day at 4 p. m. A moonlight picnic was enjoyed by young folks Tuesday night at White Sulpher Springs. The crowd went out about five o’clock and returned at twelve.
