WEDKEcsDAY DECEMBER 17 THE GAINESVILLE NEWSj. LIGHTS ON THIS WEEK The ringing 1 of the alarm caneu uiwa fire department out last Thursday night at a very late hour. The plan ing mill owned by Mr. J. T. Hargrove on College avenue was already in flames, but after the arrival of the en gines, heroic work was done, and most q£ the property was saved. The plan ing, mill, the grist mill, and part of the cotton-gin was burned to the ground. The total loss sustained by Mr. Har" groye was between five and six thou, sand dollars. There was no insurance. The fire is supposed to have been caused by sparks from the engine in the planing mil 1. I am not closing out at cost, nor I selling below cost, but I will save money on most everything you wis] On last Monday a motor ear for the company was loaded at the factory at at which the cars are being turned out, and as soon as it reaches Gainesville the cars will be put on the line.
