the street car, Miss Dozicr was severely
hurt and was immediately taken to a.
local hospital, where she has been un~
der treatment since. Her mother imme
diately went to her bedside after being
informed of the accident.

Bank of Gillsville
The Bank of Gillsville, lq, miles east
of here, located at Gillsville, Georgia,
was robbed last Thursday, night,. the
thieves. getting as their loot about $300
in' war saving, stamps and about $200
in Liberty bonds, which was found in
six safety boxes inside the vault. The
large safe could not be opened, conse
quently the larger proportion of valu
ables arid cash could not be secured.

YOUNG HARRIS.
Dr. J. A. Sharp, president of Emory
Academy at Oxford, who spent yester
day in Gainesville, has resigned to- ac
cept tho presidency of Young Harris
College, a position he held for some
eighteen years prior to 1915. He has
since been engaged at Oxford, where he
built up the Acadomy from about 17
students to about 300 in throe years.
Dr. Sharp is well known and much

well.; as receiving station, installed by
any ccfilege for women, certainly in this
section of tho country; was inaugurated
by- Bronau College Conservatory Mon
day evening, in the presericq of the en
tire student body of Bronau, and a num
ber of invited guests from Gainesville.'

missioner, after discussing the valua
tions of tho group of counties, launched
into a discussion of the income plan of-
taxation and heartily recommended
same, giving his reasons therefor. The .

LEG AGAIN.
Tho frionds of Mr. Chas. P. Wallace

make a socond amputation of his log
last week at a local hospitql. It will
bo recalled that while laid up at homo
with tho “flu” In January, Mr. Wallace
accidentally discharged a small shot
gun, tho load from which enterod his
foot, causing his log to bo amputated
