On Saturday she pre pared breakfast for the family,and after her husband went to work cleaned up the house, and then told the children she was going down to the field to gather weeds for the hogs. When her husband returned at noon the children told him where she said she was going. He went to the field, but not find ing her went to the homes of sev eral of his neighbors looking for her. Not finding her there, he continued the search, and a little distance from the house found her, with a rope around her neck, hang ing to a tree, dead. It looked as if she had climed the tree, tied the rope to a limb and with the other end around her neck jumped off and broke her neck. Dr. Burns, who has been treating herforsome time, says that she has been des pondent and he has feared the loss of her mind. No other reason can be given for the rash act, as it is said by neighbors that her home relations were pleasant and appa rently happy.
