Felker are urging him to offer for Congress in this dis trict, and some are urging him toj ran for Solicitor-general of this circuit, while others want nim to be State Senator. Mr. Felker has served three terms as County So licitor under Colquitt, Gordon and Northen, and this is his sec ond term in the House. As he is friendly to Mr. Livingston and Solicitor-General Brand, it is be lieved that he will not antagonize either, but will run for the Demo cratic nomination in the twenty seventh senatorial district. It will be Walton’s time next year, and if Mr. Felker offers he will probably have no opposition. In the last two primaries he led everything, and is stronger now than ever, He would make the district a splendid Senator. —Monroe cor. Atlanta Journal. Rev. J. J. Bennett has accepted the call to the pastorate of the Jackson Hill Baptist church in Atlanta The church at Monroe and at Social Circle see him make his preparations to leave with ex treme regret. In his short sojourn at those places he has endeared himself to every member of hie flock, and won besides the lasting admiration and hearty good will of each community.
