My wife has been usingChnmber

results, for a aroe shoulder that
has pained her continually nine
years. We have tried all kinds
of medicines and doctors without
receiving any benefit from any of
them. One day we saw an ad

thought of trying it, which we did
with the best of satisfaction.
She has used only one bottle and
her shoulder is almost well.—

The Schoolboy.
Written for The Newa-llernld.
When one has reached a more mature
age, he can look back upon Ilia school
days and recall so many incidents and
opportunities, especially those which
were not improved, that it causes many
to take a deep-drawn sigh, and wish
for those happy days again. But it is
utterly useless for him to sigh then.
If he wants to prepare himself for not
sighing and regretting in his old age,
he had better improve every moment
of his school-days. How many men in
this country can we hear saying that
it it were possible for them to again
live their boyhood days, how different
ly they would make use of their time.
Someone has said that a true man nev
er wants to live again his past days, or
to he a cl ild again If this be true,
there s ru but few true men in this
count! -, today, aud I do not doubt its
truth lea great extent. But one must
be very happy and contented in his old
age if h * does not wisli for the return
of those bright, sunny days of longago
wren he was a romping barefooted boy
a. school. What happy days are those
of the romping, smiling school-hoy!
Some may say, “give me the days of
young manhood, with all its varied
pleasures, and it will suffice me.” Oth
may say that they, also, [ireler some
other period of life than that of the
schoolboy, but after all, the majority
if it were left for them to choose, would
take that period—the brightest, happi
est and sunniest of all—the school-bey
days. The little fellow as he goes off
whistling to school, with his few little
dirty books and his dinner on his arm,
little thinks that he is spending tiu.se
days for which almost the whole world
turns round nnd sighs. “We never
miss the water till the well’s gone dry.”
After all, what a responsibility rests
upon the school-boy! In a few more
years the little barefooted boys that
you see pass your door on their way to
school each morning, will be the men
on whose shoulders will rest the bur
den of the greatest nation on the
globe. They will be the men on whose
hands will be entrusted the guiding
reins of this great republic. Then do
not push him aside in the hurry of
business. This little rough looking
fellow is the statesman in his infancy.
Sohool-boys, improve your time. The
world is looking to you for support-
Prepare yourself for the great battle
of life. Be a man.
