need to cure stomach and liver
troubles. Try them. At A. M. W inn

For Thin
Babies
Fat is of great account
to a baby; that is why
babies are fat. If your
baby is scrawny, Scott’s
Emulsion is what he
wants. The healthy baby
stores as fat what it does
not need immediately for
bone and muscle. Fat
babies are happy ; they do
not cry ; they are rich ;
their fat is laid up for
time of need. They are
happy because they are
comf.ortable. The fat sur
rounds their little nerves
and cushions them. When
they are scrawny those
nerves are hurt at every
ungentle touch. They
delight in Scott’s Emul
sion. It is as sweet as
wholesome to them.

Why Buy HcClure’s ?
McClure’s Magazine is bought and
read in homes not because it is a
magazine, but because it is the mag
azine. Why?
First —the price. It costs but $1 a
year, or less than lOcents a number,
for over 1,300 two-column pages of
reading matter. This amounts in
actual bulk to twenty or twenty-five
books costing anywhere from $1 to $2
a volume.
Second-quality. The reading mat
ter is written by America’s leading
writers—the best short story writers,
the best writers on timely articles,
the best writers of important serials,
such as Schurz’s Reminiscences or
Baker’s railroad articles.
Third—timeliness. The reading
matter in McClure’s is not only good ;
it is not only entertaing, amusing,
instructive and inspiring—it is also
about the subjects in which you and
all Americans are most interested at
the time. No subjects in the next
twelve months are going to be so im
portant as the question of railroad
rates and rebates and the question of
life insurance. Both of these ques
tions will be discussed by authorities
in au impartial, careful, interesting
way.
Fourth—its character. McClure’s
Magazine is not edited for children,
but at the same time there is never a
line in it that any young girl might
not read. Its advertising pages are
as clean as its editorial pages.
McClure’s Magazine in your home
is intended to work only for good.

A Claim Tragedy.
Is daily enacted, in thousands of
homes, as Death claims, in each one,
another victim of Consumption or
Pneumonia. But when Coughs and
Colds are properly treated, the
tragedy is averted. F. G. Huntley,
of Oaklandon, Ind., writes “My wife
had the consumption, and three doc
tors gaye her up. Finally she took
Dr. King’s New Discovery for Con
sumption, Coughs and Colds, which
cured her, and to-day she is well and
strong.” It kills the germs of all dis
eases. One dose relieves. Guaranteed

Bigger Yields
A given number of acres fertilized with Farmers' Bone produce a
greater yield of cotton, than the same acreage with ordinary fertilizer.
Farmers Bone does more than that. It makes k possible to reduce
