For Superintendent of Schools
READ IT ALL!
I was reared a barefoot boy on the farm and have
borne the burdens of toil all my life, having worked my
way through school.
I have taught in Gwinnett County for fifteen years--
six years in the common schools and nine in the high
schools; also I liave college training in history of educa
tion high school administration and school management,
and believe that I am well qualified to fill the important
office for which I ask.
I am in favor of keeping the country schools in the
country and building them up to such standards necessary
to give our boys and girls a good common school educa
tion at home.
I am in favor of paying our county teachers on the
same basis as we pay our town teachers out of the public
school funds.
I am in favor of our local trustees regulating the time
when their schools shall be taught.
If I am elected I will do my utmost to promote the
interes* of our schools in a general and helpful way.
Your vote will be appreciated.
