No Whiskey! Brown’s Iron Bitters is one of the very few tonic medicines that are not com posed mostly of alcohol or whiskey, thus becoming a fruitful source of intemper ance by promoting a desire for rum. Brown’s Iron Bitters is guaranteed to be a non intoxicating stimulant, and it will, in nearly every case, take the place of all liquor, and at the same time abso lutely kill the desire for whiskey and other intoxi cating beverages. Warren Leland, whom everybody knows as tbe successful manager of the Largest Hotel Enterprises of America, says that while a passenger from New York on board a ship going around Capo Horn, in the early days of emigration to Cal ifornia, ho learned that one of the officers of the vessel had cured himself, during the voy age, of au obstinate disease by the use of Ayers Sarsaparilla. Since then Mr. Lelaxd has recommended ; AVer’s Sarsaparilla in many similar i cases, and he has never yet heard of its fail i ure to effect a radical cure. Some years ago one of .Mr. Leland’s farm i laborers bruised bis leg. Owing to the bad state of his blood, an ugly scrofulous swelling I or lump appeared on the injured limb. Hor i rible itching of the skin, with burning and darting pains through the lump, made life almost intolerable. The leg became enor mously enlarged, and running ulcers formed, discharging great quantities of extremely offensive matter. No treatment was of any avail until the man, by Mr. Leland’s direc tion, was supplied with Ayer’s Sarsapa rilla, w hich allayed the pain and irritation, healed the sores, removed the swelling, and completely restored the limb to use. \ Mr. Leland has personally used Ayers Sarsaparilla for Rheumatism, with entire success ; and, after careful observation, declares that, in his belief, there is no medicine in the world equal to it for the cure of River Disorders, Gout, the effects of high living, Salt Rheum, Sores, Eruptions, and all the various forms of blood diseases. We have Mr. Leland’s permission to invite all who may desire farther evidence in regard to the extraordinary curative powers of Ayer's Sarsaparilla to see him person ally either at his mammoth Ocean Hotel, Long Branch,or at the popular Leland Hotel, Broadway, 27th and 28tli Streets, New York. Mr. Leland’s extensive knowledge of the good done by this unequalled uradieatorof blond poisons enables him to give inquirers much valuable information. prepared by Dr. J.C. Ayer A Co., Lowell, Mass.
