The Church is now without a regular pastor and therefore the entire ministerial labors devolved Upon him. CAMP MEETING. The Camp Meeting at the Law rence* die Camp ground will begin on ne\t Wednesday evening and o nuinue until Monday following. We understand that the tents will' be all occupied. Last Friday was the time ap pointed for working out the pubs lie grounds but very few partici p .ted in the good work and as a consequence but little has been done. We understand that in the a b aenee of Rev. W. A, Parks, pres id ing elder es the district, who is compelled to be in a different part of tbe district, Rev. W. A. Dodge of Gainesvib'e will have charga of (he meeting. Among other preachers of noie from a distance; who have promis ed to attend, we understand Dr Hopkins of Emory College he here. On Saturday and Sui day there will probably he very large crowds in attendance. It is not unusual for a thousand people to be on the grounds on such occasions. CAUGHT. On last Saturday morning Lon Dunlap one of the nations wards was arrested by Sheriff’ Cosby and lodged in jail. It will be rernem - bered that some time since a ne gro stole a horse from one of hia color, who lived near Jas. C, Car rolls. The theft was discovered in a short time and pursuit was made at once. And for thirty miles the fleeing and pursuing party went under whip and spur. They passed through Lawrenee ville before day. The pursueis would occasionally loose the trail but after a short time get on it again. In the lower part of this connty, the tbief was so closely pursued that he abandoned /he horse and took te the woods, Sev oral parties who knew him, saw him iu possession of the animal and recognized him as Lon Dun lap. A warrant was saed oat buiLon kept sny for awhile. Last Friday night he came to town and started off early next morning towards Logaasville. He was seen by sev oral parties who knew him and the Sheriff with a party pursued and soon caught him. Lon is now in jail. He waived a committing trial. HOQ MOUNTIdN.
