The Court was in session all last week ; bu< few cases of gener al interest were disposed of. There were on docket a number of long, tedious cases and as the parties were ready for trial there was no way /o avoid proceeding with them. The case of Veal & Scruggs vs Robinson occupied /wo ful i tlayß and the case of E'loweis vs Httini/on tock two more days. The result was that a very small number of civil cases were tried and yet u was a bill’ll weeks work. Tue jury [lr one "case remained out all nigh/ and did.not agree on a verdict until 8 o’clock next morn ing. Judge Hutchins expected /-> have another Judge here at this term to try his disqualified cases but was disappointed, and they were postponed to an adjourned term, to be held on ihe first Mon- ilay uu December. The criminal docket was taken up yesterday and will occupy most of this week.
